Here’s a fun fact: Barry Sanders played exactly 10 years in the NFL. He made the pro bowl all 10 years to go along with 6 first team all pros, a Rookie of the year nod, 1 league MVP, and 2 AP OPOY awards. He never once rushed for less than 1,100 yards and only twice rushed for less than 1,400. by tking191919
He also walked away while still in his prime, yet to this day remains third on the NFL career rushing list.
Edit: I just wanted to add that he did this behind a consistently average (at best) offensive line while also consistently facing defenses with 8 or 9 men in the box - and he still maintained a career average over 5.0 ypc. And to top it all off, he got second team all pro nods all four years that he didn’t get first.
