Interesting lets see what Ty Johnson does with the extra touches, never thought CJ Anderson was a great addition not a terrible insurance policy but Ty looks good.

After certain guys were picked up in FA, I wanted them to get CJ Anderson. But he looked slow and out of shape in the first two games. Be interesting to see if anyone picks him up.

I'm not sure if it was the padding but the first time I saw CJ in a Lions uniform I thought he looked fat. He also looked slow as shit compared to Kerryon. Not surprised by the move.
That said, Paul Perkins is awful. Doubt he sticks around.

Think it’s more about what Ty Johnson has shown than Anderson. Johnson has shown ability as a receiver and run with more power and vision than I think originally thought. Anderson is fine, but doesn’t add anything that stands out. McKissic adds something with his receiving ability and time with Bevell. Makes Anderson more expendable to churn out that #4 spot.
I also think you may see Kerryon get a little more of a workload as season goes on.

If that's the case why drop him to pick up another RB from the waiver who hasn't proven to be anything special. Not really sure what exactly Perkins brings to the table.

This is true IMO I don't see the value in Perkins either, ideally he doesn't even dress.

I’d imagine Perkins is a guy they’ve liked and may have liked in 2016 when he was coming out of UCLA. So when he became available they put in claim. They weren’t going to cut Johnson who they just invested in and has shown promise. They weren’t going to cut McKissic who has a specific role. So odd man out is Anderson, who’s looked ordinary.
I don’t think they’ll ever really keep less than 4 backs on the roster. Too injury prone of a position.
