Pretty easy to figure out our defense.
1) We play man to man. Send a guy in motion to confirm.
2) Run a crossing route.
3) Complete pass after pass after pass.
4) Win game and have pizza.
Here's an idea - come out and play zone and blitz a bit for crying out loud, No pressure whatsoever. Trey Flowers, what a signing - can't set an edge to save his life the last few weeks. Okwara, earth to Okwara, did you get your money and stop playing? Kennard - can you put any pressure on anyone?????
Now, Kerryon and Slay are hurt. Don't you dare trade for Kenyan Drake. Trade Marvin Jones out to San Francisco and get a 3rd round pick for him.
2-3-1 and this schedule-
Giants - Win Raiders - Win Bears - Loss Cowboys - Win Redskins - Win Bears - Loss Vikings - Loss Bucs - Win Broncos - Win Packers - Win (won't matter as they will have clinched anyway and we will be out._
Great, 9-6-1, the 19th or 20th pick again.....YIPPEE

Players did no favors with tackling and assignments, but baffled at defensive strategy today. QB with no mobility and habit of cracking with pressure and still a reliance on 3 and 4 man rushes. Got what you deserved. Do that with Jones next week and the rookie will create issues. You’re not gonna confuse Cousins into mistakes, you need to force him.

What was the deal with the first down line not being available on the main camera angle the entire game? I only saw it on replay from a different camera. FOX has had a lot of technical issues this year.

I didn’t even notice it, until you mentioned it. They were off on some replays, too. I remember Speilman talking about something for a replay and they never showed the replay.
I think they they had a training crew on that game or something...saw the time was off a few times and they posted 0/0 39.1 rating or something like that for jimmy graham after a catch....lots of issues that game

Watching that twice was painful.
Offense was good overall. Thought OL held up fairly well against a great front. Kerryon looked better before going down, his vision was terrible against GB.
Stafford was good, had some misses early but did more than enough against a really good D.
Xavier Rhodes should refer to Marvin Jones as dad for the rest of his career. He just seems to have his number and beat his ass every time they play.
Bevell is doing a great job. Does a great job of mixing levels with WR’s, being innovative with run game, and masking some of his concepts. Kerryon being out will hurt, but with schedule softening up some, offense should keep growing and improving.
Now the D. They sucked. Just really bad. Sold out at times to stop the run and still couldn’t. Saw a stat yesterday that they blitzed more than normal, but I think some of that was run blitzes. They did blitz a couple times and Vikes OL just did a good job. Play action recognition was awful, big part of it is LB’s. Tavai was the best LB on the field and I’d say he was ok at best. Christian Jones was consistently swallowed up at second level in run game and out of position in pass game. Jarrad Davis is a mess. If he’s not playing downhill, he’s just a Ferrari with a blind guy driving. Tracy Walker has been good in pass game, but he takes bad angles in run game. Lions actually played decent amount of zone, but didn’t play it overly well. Combine that with lack of pass rush, both by design and execution and you get those results.
Lions definitely missed Slay. The crosses from Diggs are always going to be a tough cover because he’s such a good route runner and can win at his break, but Coleman isn’t quite the athlete Slay is to recover. Was a tough spot for him.
Lions desperately miss Hand and Daniels. They have nothing on the interior to push the pocket. Those long developing crossing routes and play action need that interior pressure.
Luckily Giants coming to town, but can’t go too lightly on them. Barkley could eat them alive and they have to dial up some pressure. This is the game they have to get back on track or season spirals out of control.
