This is the game of who blinks first. The Lions defense or the Bears offense.
It is amazing that these two teams are pretty much polar opposites. One side of the ball is far superior than the other.
I am too down on this team to really give this intro much gusto. But I feel like the Lions are going to go on a run or they are going to be taken out back behind the shed.
Give them the benefit of the doubt as the Bears offense is horrendous, but will have a slight bump this Sunday against one of the most putrid Lions defenses.
In this one, the key matchup is Walter Payton vs. Billy Sims, look for Billy to get some screen passes against a young Chicago LB core. Also, the refs might not be as bad this game. It could go either way.
Honestly, coming up on the docket is Bears twice, DEnver, REdskins, Tampa Bay, all 5 of these games are very winnable...which would put this team finishing 8-7-1 ONCE again RIGHT ON the CUSP of wildcard berth going into the final game against GB, but the last game is at home this year. You can't make this up. We need these games against the lesser teams or it's draft prep. I think we can beat Dallas, but that GB game at the end looms...the rest of the schedule is cake except for the Minny, Dallas and GB games.
This whole team is about as mediocre, in the middle as you can get. The only bad thing about that tie is they can't go 8-8 on the season. Which is what this team looks like. Although if they get another tie.....7-7-2???

I bet he plays. Say what you want about Stafford but the dude's a gamer. The sad thing is with all the injuries and shuffling around I'm not even sure who would start. Isn't Brough hurt?

Driskell is listed as the backup. I know I was surprised too.
Driskell ran a 4.5 at the combine, so he can scramble. He has thrown for 1003 yards as a pro with Cincy. 6 TD 2 INT. He is 26 years old, so hope he keeps his head about him. This might be interesting. I'm curious to see McKissic get more carries...j/s
That's pretty gnarly to do to people at the last minute who had already posted bets in Vegas. The line currently at 9:39 a.m. is Lions +2.5, look for that to go up a little more. Maybe another point. That said I bet the Lions win by less than a FG if my intuition is correct. Then again if the Bears win by a touchdown or so Vegas makes a lot of bank.
So it will be Lions in a squeaker or Bears by about a TD. $$$$$$$$$$$
I'm heading down to Detroit for this one. hang with some homies. Salut
Normally Da Bears would run the football down the lions throats...but their run game sucks...unless this is the "Breakout Moment" for some rb that we never heard of and will never hear of again. Trubisky could also run wild and rise from the ashes. "Curse of Quandre Diggs" appears to be in the offing. Ah,,,, Never a dull moment in Lions Land

I think Driscoll got a lot of one reps during practice this week in anticipation of Stafford not being able to go. Will be interesting to see his game management. If he can keep from turning it over we have a good chance of winning. Holding bears 14 points o4 less has always produced a win this season. If we can score quick a couple TDs we should be fine.
