yall wanted caldwell gone...i tried to tell you be careful what you wish for...
Eh, this team was going nowhere with Caldwell. We would not be any further along right now with him (especially if Quinn is still here in that scenario). Not saying Patricia is the answer either but it was time to move on from Caldwell. I would go back to Schwartz before going back to Coachbot.
Picking high is meaningless they need to learn how to win
besides I started the Lions D in my championship game so love the PR TD
so getting chase young is meaningless? Disagree...
if they don't learn how to win Young will be gone in 3 seasons, the teams in the playoffs were not picking high, they poach talent from the teams picking high

Well at least those horrible calls against the Lions in the 4th quarter actually benefitted them for once. How in the world did they not overturn that Golladay incompletion?

The Longa penalty was incredible, too. There was a ref looking right at it when he was pushed into him.
I have faith the lions will choke. And that's a good thing
All that was needed was a little help from the officials......We at least have the 3rd pick. Who knows, maybe the Redskins can go down to Dallas and kick some cowboy butt.....That would be awesome
Just 1 more thing to go right...need Washington to beat the Cowboys next week...
I wish the Eagles played the Giants at 1pm, but I am guessing the NFL scheduled the games as such to create the most amount of competition in a worthless week 17 for half the league.
Although this week should have a lot of interesting games since a few 1st round byes are still in play for teams that are already in the playoffs.
I think the Lions lose this weekend, of course, and Washington loses as well. And that fucking tie comes back to haunt the Lions again.
Although, I don't see the Redskins taking Young, but could easily see Miami or Jax jumping ahead of the Lions since they have the draft capital to make a trade up if they covet a dominant pass rusher.

You never know how the draft will shake out after interviews and workouts. Looking at the mock draft people put out in January last year definitely shows a lot of changes. But most did have Bosa going 1 or 2.

They actually have some decent players on their Dline in Washington. It might be a luxury for them at this point. Depending on who they hire as a coach of course. But with the uncertainty of their OT Williams next year, they could easily get in love with a new OT.
The only worry I have is that Chase Young hasn't really impressed me in the last 3 games he played in college. I seriously don't even remember him making a play against Michigan. He had a few good plays in the 2nd half against Wisconsin and from what I heard was pretty absent against Clemson (I may have been having too good of a time last Saturday to watch the game with attention).
Well it looks like we did our best to get the #2 pick...or worst, however you look at it. Skins will will the Chase Young derby
Washington will have a new regime. They could pull what Arizona did this year and take Tua or Herbert.
Wasn’t Haskins pick influenced heavily by Snyder?
I think they’ll end up going with Young. He’ll be a great fit with what Rivera does. If they go another way, I think it could be one of the stud OT’s.
Lions are still in a great spot. Could get Brown or Okudah who would both be huge additions. Or trade down a bit, gain some picks, still have a shot at one of them. Some other nice prospects, but I think there could be some Patricia scheme issues with a guy like Simmons.

I like your thinking. Cincinnati might reach and pick Tua over Burrows. That would be Shocking. The Redskins would be in the Beautiful position of cashing in on the Burrows pick. Quite a few teams would cough up a handful of picks for Burrows at #2. If the Bengals pick Burrows, Redskins need a Left tackle.....Who Knows. Lions should pick another OT...But Young is a good player and hard to pass up. If Young drops to the Lions I think it's pretty much Suh all over again. He will pack up and leave as soon as he can...The question for the Lions Brain trust will be whatever happens in FA signings will dictate the draft strategy...They certainly will have holes to fill on the DL and the OL..
