New England receives the 3rd pick in the draft and selects their new Franchise QB Tau Tagovailoa
Detroit receives the New England "Documentary" film crew, spy equipment, New England's guy in charge of ball pressure, a lifetime membership to Kraft's favorite "massage" parlor, and a 3rd round pick
No way Brady is going out like that, he will want another year to prove he can get it done. I could never see Kraft not wanting him to return if he wanted to.
Patroits don't have the draft capital to move up to #3 pick unless Quinn continues to sabotage the Lions in favor of the Belichick.

But why?
Tom Brady has a possibility of ruining his legacy going to another team. This isn't a Manning situation where he has the skills to go somewhere else, I don't see that team out there on the crest and just needs that QB. Plus he is 6 years older than Manning was at that time. I will grant this is a weak comparison but Brett Favre is not as revered in Green Bay because he went to Minnesota and took a rival, the Vikings, to the NFC championship game. And the fans I know have less respect for Favre because of it. Now Favre may not give two shits, but I think Brady cares about his legacy. Not sure there is a team out there that he would be a fit that is on the cusp of making a SB run.

I think Brady cares about his legacy, but I also think part of that is he would like to show he can do it without Belichick. I think they both feel that way, but in the end I think Kraft gets involved.
I don’t think Brady is washed either. He’s not the same guy as 3-4 years ago, but he can still play. Manning went to Denver with a wet noodle for an arm after all the surgeries. If you give Brady some weapons, he’s still a dangerous QB.

Nah. Manning had some great years in Denver, but his arm was not the same after the neck surgeries. It got worse for sure and was horrible, but he didn’t have the same pop. He did have a lot of talent, which helped him and would likely help Brady.
Neithe Manning or Brady we’re guys that relied on their arm a ton on anyway, so it’s not a massive factor.
