Hello....my name is goldenlions and I am an alcoholic....what?....wrong group? Sorry about that.
Well most people probably know my real name, if not oh well, I'll just leave it at goldenlions since I am too old for new stalkers.
I live in the "just okay" state of East Dakota. Not born but raised in Michigan (not a true Detroit fan).
I have been a Lions fan since I was about 10 when my dad first took me to a Lions game at the Silverdome against the Packers and I watched as grown ass men acted like children and got into many a fisticuffs, not on the field, but in the stands. And security having bias, always escorted out the true evildoers wearing green and gold. Since my first live event, I was hooked. And I have hated my father with the passion that burns brighter than a thousand suns for taking me to that game.
Probably my favorite memory as a fan (obviously not team related) was tailgating with people from this board and other Lions boards back in the day. Including the time the much hated Dr. Z made an appearance and most people didn't know he was there, but in the end we figured it out.
My hobbies include football, porno, books about war. I've got an average house, with a nice hard wood floor.
Anything else....I am entering middle age, I have a wife but no kids, so I am basically flush with cash. I have been a season ticket holder to the Lions for quite some time now, even though I don't live in Michigan, I go to at least 2 home games a year and always go to at least one road game (since I live near another NFCN team).

My name is Rusty Hilger and I am a professional internet message board troll.
I live in my Mom's basement with my stripper girlfriend and my dog. My stripper girlfriend is either going to be a professional model or a famous actress and only strips to pay for the dance studio she plans on opening and it's definitely not to support a cocaine addiction.
I've been a Lions fan since I was about 6 or 7 years old. I'm from the thumb pit of Michigan, but I currently live in Chicago. My favorite players of all time include Billy Sims, Eric Kramer and Buster Davis. I'm not a fan of Barry Sanders because he was a show boat who stalled drives and only gained notoriety for the one or two big plays he'd muster every game. I was also a big fan of Jerry Ball and Shawn Rogers who were basically the same player.
I have no kids because I'm basically an overgrown child myself.
My favorite memories .... watching the games with Dad. None of the statements made in this post can be substantiated in any way because, well, I'm a professional troll. My career really took off when trolls started gaining notoriety due to their influence over the 2016 U.S. Presidential election -- lending Trolls our long-overdue credibility as thought leaders and shapers of the political landscape.
I'm Techlion. I have four kids and live in Plymouth MI. I became a Lions fan the day Billy Sims was drafted and some of my best memories were at the Pontiac Silverdome. Since the day Joey Harrington was drafted, I've been 98% right about everything related to the Detroit Lions. I've made hundreds of Lions fans look stupid and ridiculous over the years and enjoyed every minute of it. I am solely responsible for the original Detroit Lions message board being shut down under the name Dr. Z many years ago. I am waiting for Stafford to either be traded or retire so that I can be a true fan again. Unlike most football fans, I understand how to build a NFL football team and manage the salary cap properly.
The Lions GM and head coach frequent two of my restaurants but I have not mentioned the Lions to either of them because if I do, I will surely lose them as customers.
Unlike Rusty, I did love Barry Sanders. I loved him for his freakish athletic ability and sportsmanship. He wasn't the greatest football player and even the greatest RB but he was the most entertaining football player to walk the earth.

If it makes you feel any better, I've been a Vikings fan since about the age of 10, as well. ...because my Dad is/was a Vikings fan. I started watching - really watching - during Moss's rookie year. I, too, have been hooked ever since! Too bad my first year was basically the highlight year, lol, and it's been a giant effing roller coaster since then!

That's kind of my goal for this affiliation, as well. The ultimate goal would be that some of us meet up for tailgating/games sometimes. My group has 8 season tickets, and I usually have extra Lions tickets to sell, so ... just sayin!

Dang. I never thought I'd hear this from a Lions fan. How unpopular is this opinion amongst Lions fans?

Lovin' the humility here! You'll fit right in with some of us at Purple Pain!

Your restaurants? Again, do tell...
Why would you lose them as customers? What would you say?

Hi My screen name is Honolulublue, some of you know me by my real name as Herb.
I'm from Muskegon area
I have been a Lions fan my entire life. My first memories were of Billy Sims running like a mad man till he got hurt. I came over from TLF and I also put together or helped with the orange out and walk out.
My favorite players were Barry Sanders, Herman Moore, Calvin Johnson, and Jason Hanson.
My favorite memory as a fan is meeting several players at the old training camp in Saginaw. Meeting several fans from TLF.
A fun fact, I am a storm chaser, though right now I am temporary taking a break from it.

Nice! That's fascinating!
Is that a paid gig or do people do it for free? Or both? Have any good footage we can see?
Some get paid for it, I do it for the thrill. I haven't chased in the Plains yet but that is going to happen next Spring. I haven't seen a tornado yet, several funnel clouds, but I have been in big winds Here is my website
