Dan Campbell is a Joke. Time to do an Orange out for the Dolphins game. I don't care if you like his Rah Rah/GRIT/mindset. The man is an idiot when it comes to situational football. He is dumber than he looks and sounds managing a game and is incapable. If the lions actually cared about winning they would clean house now, promote one of the Assistants, and being a coaching search now. But of course they are not, This man is 4-17-1 in his first 22 games. Coaches don't simply start this bad and turn it around and win anything meaningful. Good coaches come in and show something. I Get that players seem to like him, and his enthusiasm is contagious but the man just can't coach. Needs/should have started in college and learned game management before getting a pro gig.
I agree there is much to be concerned about. But they have showed some promise at times. This is much too early to start saying this. Quinn had this roster gutted. There is some major concerns I agree, but lets not over react.
How many decades have we been saying "It's not time to over-react?"
The odds are not favorable I agree. Culture only takes you so far, at the end if the day you need to execute and thus far the game time decisions and the coordinators have not performed at the level needed to take the next steps.

You broom out the coaching staff and GM after 22 games and who are you going to get to come here? Most coaches/GM with a brain will not want to come into a situation where they have to always be on eggshell after every loss.
The talk of them cutting anyone out now is just dumb. Lions fans must have a lot of estrogen running through them, because they are more emotional than a chick on the rag.
I am of the belief that you give a coach 3 years in full to get see improvement. You don't cut bait this early.
I still need to see more and see how they respond up until Thanksgiving at the earliest to determine what I would do next. You can call it right now and feel good about yourself if it doesn't work and no one will care if they can somehow turn it around.
I’m not suggesting firing Holmes. I am suggesting during Dan Campbell. Two or three other coaches hired in his hiring year have already been fired I don’t want to hear this “who are you gonna get to come here “ it’s an NFL job talent will apply and it’ll be HOLMES job to find it.
Holmes did not hire Campbell, the Ford's did. While I like thier trucks I am not sure I like their business model with running the Lions. I would think a vast majority of GMs make the coaching hire. Again not always the case, but if ownership is making the hire they know enough about football.
Look I like DC a lot. But there is some glaring insufficientcies withing the coaching staff. We have already covered this quite a bit. The roster needs some help, but let's not also let Holmes off the hook. He has done well, but again the second round help seems to elude him thus far, along with the overall health of this roster.
Or the place to show that these guys are nothing more than good coordinators and not head coach material.
I think the Lions have had some "Good" coaches here that sadly had little talent to work with over the years. But in recent years some rather poor Head Coaching choices. Jim Caldwell was probably the best of the recent group. It always seems that the Lions teams are lacking on one side of the ball. This year the defense is horrible. Last in the NFL. I think it was Bill Parcells that coined the phrase, "You are what your record says you are". And this current batch of Lions clearly suck on Defense and unless we hire a defensive coordinator named Jesus...we are screwed.

until they fix the DTs and LBs, nothing will change, no matter the coach.
Dont you see the correlation with sacks/pressures and wins? They arent getting push in the middle so the QB has a text book perfect pocket and all day. The lions are bringing extra rushers leaving someone open. The LBs cant cover a TE or RB, so....im telling you, DT and LBs make all tbe difference...

I couldn't agree more. By not pressuring the QB it allows the WR more time to separate from the DB's and really puts the DB's in a bad situation, especially if your DB's are suspect anyway. So a mediocre pass rush results in Wide open receivers. It's not every play, but it doesn't have to be for disaster to happen. Lions also gave up a ton of big running plays too. Same logic applies. If you drop LB into pass coverage you limit the ability for stopping the run at the line of scrimmage. Lions don't appear to have the bulk on the D line to stop the run. The stats don't lie. This defensive group sucks right now and they will get some help back in the next weeks...but the help isn't bringing any miracles with their game. So, the next draft will have to focus on the Defense heavily. Recent attempts to solidify the Defense via FA has resulted in miserable failure after miserable failure. Mostly due to injury....
