A. you cannot turn the ball over 4 times B. the O Line needs to pass protect better than that C the lions were missing too many weapons D. the refs need to treat the lions like other teams because they were a big help to dallas today

If there was any long term thoughts for Goff, that game should eliminate them. He has the worst pocket presence I may have ever seen. Stop spinning around. He needs 4 seconds of clean pocket to be effective, I don’t care if St. Brown, Swift and Chark are out there. There’s no long term vision with him in it, he’ll never be able to fight through adversity and win.
Williams can’t fumble that ball, that was a back breaker.
D showed up big time. Hutch played well. Okudah played extremely well in the run, coverage had to be at least solid since they didn’t challenge him. Paschal made his presence known.
Refs sucked. I probably could have lived with it if they didn’t overturn that Diggs pick, but not even reviewing it? Then the weak PI on Jacobs and the one in Anzalone. Also not calling Sam Williams for the PF for picking up the RB and slamming him. Also a blatant block in the back on the big return. When an ex Cowboys QB is questioning calls in favor of them, something is wrong.

And once again (for the 4th time this season), the Lions play just well enough to lose. This team isn't really much different from any of the other teams over the past 50+ years. This level of consistent inconsistency is truly remarkable, but it's always something.
we actually won the game. the media totally redid the gme to make it look like the cowboys won. we are actually undefeated but the NFL and media dont want us to know that. its all a conspiricy.

The Williams fumble really changed the game. They probably still would have figured out a way to lose even if they score a TD there but man that was killer.
Did you have them winning this one before the season? I had them 2-4 at this point.
I broke the season in 4 parts. 2-4 in the first part 1-3 " " 1-3 " " 1-3 " " I didn't think they would beat Dallas but they played pretty good defensively in the first half. I was surprised.

Really? I really like Young. Definitely not sure about Stroud.
low hopes for a 6'0 sub 200 lb nfl qb...
I don’t worry about that as much with the way the protect QB’s now.
I like them both and Levis. Plenty of good QB options in this draft. Hooker from Tennesse is intriguing to me. Big athletic with an absolute cannon for an arm and showed big time poise in that Bama game.

On the positive side of things, the core young guys showed up yesterday on D. Hutch played well, Paschal made plays in game 1, Rodriguez was strong again, Okudah was everywhere, and even Kerry Joseph looks more comfortable and is showing range.
Also so much for the easy schedule the Lions were projected to have.

It's pretty simple, this team can't win unless all phases of the game work. The offense was atrocious again without their top 2 playmakers. The defense looked better and that's encouraging and the ST failed when they give up that big return.
I am not that down on the team, I think they have a shot at the Dolphins and the Jaguars maybe GB. But too me I don't see another win without a major surprise. I was down on Chicago at the start of the season, but they look pretty good on defense and that's all you need to tame this Lions team.
Couple home games coming up are winnable, hopefully Swift and ARSB are healthy enough to play an entire game.
It will be interesting with Goff the rest of the season to see if he continues to slide or snaps back. Stafford is also a turnover machine but his team can bail him out. Not the case in Detroit.
