Perhaps toward the end when they were putting dudes on IR for a hang nail.
even the start of the season...i think mozt of us, me included had the lions at less than 5 wins, most at 2-3 wins...other than oline, who did we have?
I would feel much better about saying 8 wins if I had any faith in our LBs and S's. I like the DL and DEs and I think the CBs will hold up ok...
I think the OL and run game will be ok, the WRs are concerning, I expect a big season from Hock...Lions could eek out some low scoring games, so looking at the more D oriented teams and division rivals for wins. Chi and Min could go 4-0 or 0-4, I have no idea...I am assuming Favr...Rodgers plays for GB this season...
5-6 wins is probably about right with 8 as upside...I think the D will be better than we think..if we can get anything from the inside LBs at all...
Well, you did say "less than 5" and had 8 wins on the schedule but then said 5-6 is more likely. But I was just more having fun with you. My point is more if you predicted them to have 5 wins last year on the low-end, surely you didn't think they were the least talented roster in the NFL. I know heading into last year I definitely thought at least the Jets and Houston had less talent.
I think its getting spun in the minutia...this isnt that hard...
in restrospect, we all knew lions werent a good team last year...at some point during the season they appeared to be the least talented team in the nfl...it is obvious to even the most casual of obsrrvers that both the giants and jets had more talent to start their rebuilds with than the lions...therefore it is not surprising they have better records in their rebuild efforts to this point....while i do think a healthy lions team could contend or beat either of them, the depth is non existent, thus we could conclude that the lions roster is still less talented because the depth is not there.
