If JR makes that catch, they kick the fg instead of going on 4th and 2
I actually don’t think it was much of a coaching issue game. It was a Terri me match up on D, so it had to be a shootout. You still expect more from your D and expect your offense to not lay an egg in second half.
Possible coaching question is did Ben Johnson make necessary adjustments?

Can you make adjustments for multiple false starts and a holding call?

I get it. Zero points in second half though. On top of that, the Lions haven't scored a single point in the 4th quarter in 4 of the last 5 games. That is worrisome with this line.

My only question would be what yardage they’ve racked up and how many turnovers. Goff has not shined brightly late in the last few weeks.

Goff is definitely part of the problem. I just don't understand how it is possible to have a top 5 O-line in the league and not be able to score late in games. It's like Johnson can call the scripted plays early but once he has to adjust to the game he's over matched.

I'm not completely convinced this is a play-calling/Johnson problem as much as it is a Goff decision making problem.

Remember when the Lions were projected to have one of the easiest schedules in the league? Week 8 and every team they’ve played is above .500, except for Washington who is .500.

And I don't think it gets any easier. Hell, even the Packers who will most likely be 3-5 after tonight they still have to play twice and always seem to have their number.

Yup, can’t even get luck when you think the schedule is going to be in your favor.

And Buffalo on Thanksgiving? Even with the home team/Thanksgiving weight, the Lions might be 2+ touchdown underdogs in that one.
I liked it better when DC was calling the plays on offense.
On defense, no pass rush and all day to throw to two really good Wrs.
Tua barely held the ball long enough to be considered all morning. The way to combat that is to not allow free release for those WR’s, that was supposedly the plan, which obviously was a complete failure. CB’s barely laid a finger on Hill and Waddle.
