There's a lot of rookies (and near-rookies) playing some significant roles, who aren't used to a 17-game schedule.
Valid point, although guys like Williams, Paschal, Houston, Mitchell, and even Rodrigo haven't played a full load. Not sure what Joseph's snap count is but I'd be surprised if he's played more than 75% of the snaps. Really only Hutchinson has played a full load so it's fair to think he might run out of gas.
The offensive play calling by the Colts in the second half has been brutal.
I've never seen such conservative play calling...ever. If you take every Colts drive of the second half, they are virtually identical. 5-yard run on 1st down, short or no gain run on 2nd down, 3rd down pass shorter than the sticks. Punt. Lather, rinse and repeat. It was really painfully predictable. They appeared to be completely untrusting of their potentially future HOF QB to try and win the game. The only risk that was taken was going for it on 4th down with 3 minutes left, WHICH WAS ENTIRELY THE WRONG CALL! Their kicker had already made 5 FG's, including a 52 yarder. Instead of kicking the 53 yarder to make it a 2 score game, they go for it, with a QB sneak?? If this game doesn't guarantee Jeff Saturday will never be a real head coach, nothing will.

Talking out of my ass, but I wold imagine the jump to the NFL in general as being a whole new level of demanding. On the body, mind, everything. Guys coming from D1 might have a leg up, but are they really prepared for all of this in year 1?
Because Eagles may have nothing to play for week 18.
I feel like this is one of those things where we just root for the Lions to control their destiny and not worry about everything else as there are so many variables. That said, I still say there's no way the Lions win out.

kinda hard when they dont control their own destiny....
Its really not that many variables...need seattle, giants, commanders to lose, thats it

But if they win out I think it's pretty much a lock they get in.
