Kind of trickling into playoff thread, so probably time for game thread.
Should be a good/tough game. One of the best offenses against one of the best defenses. Jets are deep on DL and strong in secondary, but I don’t imagine biggest weapon will go against Lions biggest. Sauce has stayed to one side of the field for most part, so should be able to have St. Brown be effective. Need to find a way to get run game going, stalled a bit lately. Quinnen Williams was day to day earlier, hopefully that acts up and he stays out.
D should have some chances to get some stops and create turnovers which may be the biggest factor. Have to attack and put pressure on the QB. I’d expect ball to be coming out quick.
Man. So many squandered games this season. Record should be better but this team is playing the best they've been. Let's goooo Lions...handle this shit. God knows we need it.

Weather forecast for the Lions/Jets game is clear to partly cloudy, 35 degrees F, winds 8 to 10 mph. Good weather to play football.
Over the last 2 weeks the Lions' Offense has scored an average of 37 points/game due to the healthy return of DJ Chark, Josh Reynolds and Jameson Williams. The speed of Chark, Williams and excellent Oline play will force changes to the way the Jets like to play defense. Their safeties luv to play closer to the LOS due to a top 5 pass rush from the Jets DL always forcing quick pressure and short passes. With The safeties playing close it aids against the opponents run game.
The Lions however are a matchup nightmare for Robert Salah's defense. The combination our O-Line pass blocking ability and the speed of our WR will allow deeper pass routes forcing the Jets safeties to play back and cover over the top, which opens up the center of the field. The Sun god should have a very good day. We also should be able to run the football very efficiently, due to 7 or less in the box, and slowing down the pass rush.
The Lion's defense is also a bad matchup for the Jets offense. Lions CBs against Jets WR: Okudah against Wilson, Jacobs against Davis, and Hughes against Moore should cover them well. I also believe Rodriguez, Anzalone and Board are able to cover the RB and TE. By the way, just to let you guys know, when Okudah and Jacobs play the entire game together, the Lions "D" only gives up 17.5 points/game.
Lions DL against Jets OL. Jets O-line is poor to very poor with PFF ranking of 23 to 26 over the season. McGovern is pretty good, but the other 4 are Stenberg clones, good run blockers, poor pass protectors. Lions' Defense gets 4 to 6 sacks this game.

My jaded Lions fan mind says this would be one of those games that gets Wilson back on track. But a bigger part of me does think this time it might be different.
Its weird....literally everywhere i look it seems everyone has jets winning this game...this board is the only place i see lions being picked...
Just an observation
Not sure where you've been seeing that but the podcasts I listen to (mostly Ringer stuff, McAfee, sometimes Valenti) all have the Lions winning. A lot of them also have the Lions making the playoffs. I'm actually kind of uncomfortable with all the hype the Lions have been getting.

Zach Wilson comes back after being benched with a renewed interest for the sport and has a career game against the Lions reestablishing his rightful position as the Jets franchise QB of the future... I could see this headline happening.

Definitely have concerns about the Zach Wilson get right story line. But I do think the Lions win a close one.
That said, the Lions will either lose in Carolina or Green Bay to finish with 9 wins and just miss the playoffs. A loss in Green Bay in week 18 in a must-win seems very Lion-y so I'll go with that. Although I suppose you could say true Lion-y would be to lose at home against Chicago.

It doesn't look like weather is going to be a factor today, which helps the Lions. However, this feels like one of those games where Wilson has been such a disaster, but steps up and has a career day. I don't expect that to happen, but wouldn't be surprised if it does. I see an ugly defensive struggle. Maybe not as ugly as yesterday's Rapists vs Ravens game, but ugly none the less. Since they started playing good football, I have only predicted one win (Jacksonville), so I'm staying true to form.
What he said. Reminds me of myself in my more vulnerable years. But we need this so I will refrain from further comment because...fuck the Jets and I'm sticking to the tradition of the last 6 games. Madonna picture out. Scotch cold. Let's gooo mofos
