Stop Fields from running and the Bears are toast. Bills allowed only 11 yards rushing to Fields on 7 carries. AG needs to watch the Bills/Bears and Bears/49ers game tape on how to stop Fields.
I do think the Lions win this one, only to set up a loss in Green Bay on Sunday Night Football week 18 in a win and in scenario.
if washington and seattle both lose both their last games and minny beats GB then detroit would be in the playoffs even if they lose to the packers. need to beat bears first. see where we are after sunday.
jets can still make the playoffs. white will be starting at QB so they could actually beat Seattle. and the rams seemed to have come alive and could beat seattle as well. washington is starting wentz so they could very well lose both their last 2 games.

Even if GB loses to Minnesota this week, it will still be a win and in scenario for the Lions. All those whacky scenarios aren't happening. And even if GB is out of it by week 18, Rodgers will put it all on the line to win that game. Lions are fukked either way.

Vikings beat Packers, they are eliminated from the playoffs. There is a chance that Rodgers wouldn't even play in that scenario. He has been on their injury report almost the entire year.

Last home game of the year! I expect a raucous crowd, lots of frustrating 3rd down conversions by Fields with his legs, zero punts, and potentially 100 pts scored in this game.

Rodgers has not been good in GBs last 3 wins, the packers have been fortunate, turnovers penalties and a concussed QB, and a 30 yard non catch called a catch

Carolina just laid out the blueprint for the Bears to stomp the lions using their ground game. Fields, Montgomery, and Herbert will have a field day. Unless the Lions put everybody up in the box. This could be very ugly if Fields suddenly starts to be a play action pass hero Bears 34 Lions 28.

woah...bears are going to "stomp" to a 6 pt victory? Ok...guess we have different definitions of stomp....
Tough call. If the bears had anything to play for I would agree they would win I just don't buy this lions team to me they are still the same old lions. but if the bears win they may screw themselves out of the #1 pick which will have tons of attention because people for some reason want Bryce Young (I don't think he'll be good in the NFL). 24-21 lions. maybe
To me, this game will show how much the lions have progressed. To me, the loss isnt a big deal, it happens, how they respond to the loss, against an inferior team, at home, with potential playoffs on the line is what matters and will show if theyve truly progressed.
My gut says lions come out pissed off and lay a beat down

It would certainly be very Lions-y to lay a beat down on Chicago and get everyone excited again only to crap the bed in a win-and-in scenario in Green Bay.

Bears scoring 34 points v Lions would define the "Stomp" term. Now Bears Pass defense is vulnerable to the Lions passing attack. Lions scored 23 points last week against a decent Defense in Carolina. Gives up around 22 points a game. Bears around 27 points a game. So, I like the Lions to score at least 28 points. First game was a nail biter in Chicago. Lions are at Home, just came off of a total ass whuppin... Let's see if they have any heart at all or if it was just a mirage. I hope they win and win big to make the Green Bay game a game of significance. However, the Carolina game was the game of consequence in my opinion. They will be lucky to get into the playoffs if they do manage to win the next 2 games. I would still consider this season a success if they end up 7-10, or at least progress.

Aren't you the one that predicted the Lions record will be 5 wins and 12 losses? They posted 5 wins before Thanksgiving. Stop your hem and haw every game, it is annoying.

Lions went 3 wins and 1 loss in November. Lions went 3 wins and 1 loss in December. Speculation: Lions go 3 wins and 1 loss in January, we will play in the divisional round of the NFC Championships.
So, if the Lions end up with 9 wins and 3 losses in their last 12 games this year. Most of us will call that record outstanding, which it is.
Worst case scenario, the Lions beat the Bears and lose to the Packers their record of 7 wins and 3 losses in their last 10 games is excellent. If this trajectory stays the same for next season, Lions will end up 12 wins and 5 losses for the 2023 season. In the hunt for the #1 seed in the NFC.
You worry warts need to look at reality. The Lions are a Good Fucking Team. To the BNL. "Brand New Lions"
