Looks like the NFL is waiting to see what happens tonight with Cincinnati before setting the Sunday night game. I'm guessing if Cincy loses, they'll flex Bal/Cin for the division title. If Cincy wins, maybe they go to Det/GB? But they might want Seattle/Detroit playing at the same time.

You are missing the sports media luv for Aaron Rodgers. They are jizzing in their jeans just thinking he will play for the title again. Packers/Lions will be the flex. Weather forecast so far is pretty good. Partly cloudy with temp around 25 to 30 degrees, winds at 6-mph. Hope the Lions play in the white or the silver uniforms, both look great. Never liked the silver or blue pants with the white jerseys.

Rams @ Seattle... I think deep down we all know what will happen there. Unless Seattle completely folds up tent and mails it in, The SNF game will be meaningless for the Lions and the Packers. If the Packers win they are in......Doesn't Matter what Seattle does. Lions are out unless Baker Mayfield can orchestrate an upset.

If Seattle wins, oh well. But there is always a chance the Rams can pull the upset. Sean McVay has gotten the better of Pete Carrol since he became Rams heads coach. On Dec 4, 2022 Rams with John Wolford throwing 2 Int and Akers with less than 70 yards barely lost in the closing minute 27-23 to the Seahawks. If Baker can have a good game and Akers continue his streak of 100 yards games, there is always a chance. Geno Smith is also known for bad decisions resulting in turnovers, it is why the Jets released him.

Seattles been playing good ball so I dont see them losing, but division game and rams D can thump, so its possible...
But yeah, nfl gets their golden boy, so kinda hard to see a lions win, regardless of seattle game...but wouldnt the lions knocking off gb be a hell of story? The networks would love that...a whole offseason to talk about Love/Rodgers drama....

Oh yeah, that has started already with several articles referring to Love wanting a trade. The kid does not want to wait any longer. His career being used up sitting behind Rodgers.

"I got to sit behind a legend for three years and see what greatness looked like firsthand," Rodgers told Fox Sports' Erin Andrews. "That's an experience that changed my life forever, and I'm so fortunate to be able to play here at this stadium for these fans and in this great organization for the last 17 years..." Quote from Aaron Rodgers
Love needs to be patient. All good things come to those who wait

What's interesting is the Packers are somehow winning without actually having their best player even play all that well. The defense frankly has won them games. Unless the Rams win this weekend, we might see a couple of the starters just sit out for injury purposes. I would like them to play hard as if the playoffs were still on the line, but if they know they are just playing for pride, you might see some guys just not care. We could be looking at a similar game as Carolina. Story book ending that the NFL would want.
Playoffs or no playoffs, I’d be surprised to not see this team come out playing hard. Campbell is already starting to sell the idea of how he wants the North to come through Detroit and I’m sure even if Seattle wins he’ll get the majority of players buying into this being a game that can the start of that. Doesn’t mean a win, but I don’t see them laying down.
Packers will try to shut down the run and deny St. Brown to Goff. I don't believe the Packers and Joe Berry will get it done. I also think our Rookie Rush package runs down Rodgers several times.
win or lose we dominated the North division. how often can we say that. the teams consistantly in the playoffs usually dominate their division. headed in the right direction.
Since Sean McVay was hired in 2017, the Rams are 4-2 on the road against the Seahawks.. Rams have 3rd best red zone defense in NFL, Seahawks 24th Rams 11th in red zone on offense, Seahawks 26th Seahawks rushing defense is horrible. Akers has 2 consecutive 100 yard games going into the game.
Here we go. If Seattle wins, then its moot. But if they don't win, then well...here we go, hello inner tension and possibly another busted TV. I kid. I truly hope Seattle loses and at least we will know going into Lambeau, but this game scares the fuck out of me. Part of me wants Seattle to win, so knowingly I don't have to risk anymore screams of terror into the abyss, but if the Rams pull it off, then dear God, the shit done gets real, real fast. Guess we will find out. That said, I pray The Rams beat Seattle, but I just don't see that happening. Baker Mayfield? You there bruh?
It's too bad that the Seattle game isn't on the same time as the Lions game. The cancellation of Monday's game probably made the decision to go with GB-Det rather than other intriguing matchups had the Bills-Bengals game ended with a Bills win. I think the Lions will play hard regardless of the Seahawks-Rams outcome.
Too bad they couldn't have just have Seattle-LA game on at the same time just being shown in their local markets, but the NFL is rooting (or expecting) a GB win.

Unfortunately, I fully expect that the NFL's desire for a GB win will be clearly demonstrated by the officiating crew. It seems GB always gets the benefit of favorable calls. This seems to be particularly true whenever they play the Lions, but especially true when GB plays at home on national TV. We get the double whammy this week. I am anticipating lots of phantom defensive holding penalties on failed 3rd down conversions, questionable roughing the passer calls (especially if Houston hits Rodgers "low"), and drive-killing holding calls against our o-line. As per usual, the same tactics, when performed by GB, will not draw any flags.

If I were a Seattle fan I'd be a little pissed about the scheduling. As Lions fans we like to think the Lions will play to win even if Seattle wins, but I'm sure Seattle fans aren't thinking that will be the case, and they'd have a point. Especially since I heard a report where some Lions players were questioning why they were playing any football this weekend given the Hamlin situation.
Especially since I heard a report where some Lions players were questioning why they were playing any football this weekend given the Hamlin situation.
This I find to be rather odd. With years of reporting on former player suicides linked to CTE, players being paralyzed and/or suffering career-ending and ofter life threatening injuries at every level of the sport on a fairly regular basis, this one freak injury has these players questioning whether they want to play this week? As I said...odd.
The Lions have drawn Referee Brad Rogers and his officiating crew for the Packers/Lions game. We had the same crew for the Giants game.
Here are specifics: 1. Their home/away splits are 89 penalties against the home team and 84 penalties against the visitors. 2. Near the bottom for offensive and defensive holding calls. 3. His crew has the 3rd most roughing the passer flags of the 17 NFL officiating crews.
Sounds like this crew lets them play, just be gentle on QBs.
DC will have the Lions primed for the game regardless of Seattle outcome. this is a statement game no matter what. go into GB and smash them in the mouth. send a message. the North is ours going forward.
