Probably be able to sign Golladay to a cheap 1 year prove it contract. He is Injury prone but when used properly he has put up some pretty good numbers.
id give him a 1 year cotract. he was great with stafford. he staerted here so there might be incentive in his mind.

Even if it didn’t seem like he’s completely mailed it in. His game is contested catch/50-50 balls. That’s why he did well with Stafford, he’ll make those types of throws. That’s not really Goff’s game.

If I were Holmes I would look at bringing Marvin Jones back
Williams, St Brown, Reynolds’s could benefit from a great professional teacher in the room. The guy was still productive last year and was loved by the players and ownership
Don’t imagine he would cost much and would be a great addition leadership wise
Yeah, let's save money on a year when we have less money and push it to another year when we have money.
What a stupid GM Brad Holmes is....
My point is more that the 1 year/$10M deal just looks all that much worse now given what he got on the open market this year. I'm sure they had their reasons for doing it the way they did, and it's always easy to second guess after the fact, but IMO, they botched this one.

To be fair, FA market has been wildly different this season.

Nailed it!!!!
CF for assistant GM😝
Just because he said he wanted it doesn't mean it was the right move. It's fine. He's a JAG at this point in his career. Doesn't move the needle, but maybe can contribute a little something. Not really sure the WR room needs more of a "professional teacher" (whatever that is). I would think a day 3 guy could contribute just as much for a lot less money. Brad seems to botch 1 or 2 signings each offseason and I predict this will be one. At least there isn't much to lose with this one.

As for MJ, he might be one of those Larry Fitzgerald types who defies father time. We have a lot of dependable targets / safety blankets for Goff on any given play. And some great depth, whether he's starting or just filling in. Really like the signing.
But it still doesn't excite me as much as the 6'4" guy who runs a 4.3 and averages almost 17 yards per catch (5th in the NFL).

I don’t know how much juice he has left, he had a solid year his first year in Jax and was still fairly productive last year with Etienne back and adding in Evan Engram. Not sure how much they’ll get out of him, but it’s pretty low cost and gives the kind of vet WR you want in that room.
