Shut down corner...perhaps...I think a LB that can cover a TE is the biggest gap right now...how many times were drives extended by simple passes to the TE?
I could argue for DT too...DEs would start to collapse the pocket but with no interior rush the QB stepped up and ran or found a guy...how many times?
This!!! ^^^^
Agree completely LB and DT are the Lions biggest defensive weakness.
If it were me I would draft best player available at either position in the first followed by a CB and OG in the second
I don't disagree with the overall needs...but you still have to consider value. If you have an edge guy available that you have graded as an A, and the best DT available you have graded as a B, do you still take the DT?

Off ball LB only has so much value in todays league, I’d be surprised to see them go that direction before day 2. They also have 2 young guys they like on the roster. I’d actually rather they go vet route in FA on that.
DT is a big need, but unless Carter falls in their lap, I’d rather they get more of a nose/1-tech type. They need some beef. Especially if they bring back guys like Cominsky and Buggs. They moved McNeil to 3-tech during the year last year and he seemed to play much better. They also like pushing guys like Paschal and Cominsky inside on passing downs.
I don’t think DE is a big need, especially if they hold on to Romeo and/or Harris, but if the scenario plays out like BB talks about, you have to consider it. Creates so much flexibility with your front.
Team needs CB’s in a bad way. Not sure how FO or staff feels about Okudah. I like Jerry Jacobs, but perfect world he’s sub package guy. And the only CB they have under contract after this season is Chase Lucas.
