The defense, just did enough to limit the Rams in the redzone. If we can get past Tampa, it's going to be very interesting. Moving forward our offense cannot sputter like it has in the second half.
Yea, that ain't happenin' this defense is a trainwreck and Glen should be fired.
I'm with ya, kinda. Definitely surprised that he's being considered for head coaching positions. Maybe they're all going with the "look what he accomplished without a pass rush or a secondary" mentality.

Bro! The AFC is winning this Super Bowl. I really think SF is going in the NFC, but I think the competition in the NFC is so tight that anything could happen. The AFC, however, has all four teams remaining that, I believe, match up well against any one of the remaining NFC teams.
They gotta play the games, for sure. But I really don't see anyone hanging with Baltimore when they're rollin'.

If any fanbase should understand that you should look beyond success as a coordinator when thinking about a HC. It should be this one.
When Tracy Walker is on the bench the safety position is pretty deep. Our CBs need an upgrade. Maybe a stud nose tackle on D but it'll be fun to see what James Houston can do. This Tampa game will be a lot of how Goff handles the blitz I think. I think the D will buckle and knuckle down.

Weren't all three DB acquisitions, CJGJ, Sutton, and Emmanual one year deals? I was really thinking we wouldn't have the secondary weaknesses we have with signing those three, but now we may need to start all over again.

Sutton was a 3 year deal. The other two were 1 year deals. The Moseley deal was definitely one of the biggest head scratching moves for Holmes signing a guy to a 1 year, $6M coming off a torn ACL. If CJGJ has any integrity he should give the Lions a huge discount on a 1 year prove it deal for 2024 but I know that's not how it works and he won't.

I thought the Mosely signing made sense. Starting level CB that you’re getting at a discount because of the injury and hoping to get 10-12 games and a playoff run out of.

Sutton has been great. The Moseley thing was a wish and a prayer. Idk maybe he comes back next year. I miss Slay but we need to land a few ballhawks. It's our biggest weakness

Gotta say, as I watch this game I feel like I'd rather face SF on the road than GB at home. But I guess at this point all I should care about is winning our own game...

GB is no joke, but a win tomorrow and it would have been three playoff games at home. That would have been epic, but right now I just want to win tomorrow. Can't be too choosey at this point, but that Jordan Love guy will be a problem moving forward.

I was at the Thanksgiving Day game and it was probably the second loudest game of the year at Ford Field and home field advantage did not help the Lions against GB at all. Although I think the Lions would have beat GB at home this time around, they play very well on the road and match up better against SF. If the Lions win today, they will have far less distractions away from Michigan.

Yeah. I can't remember a player with the brashness of CJGJ that wasn't 100% all about the money. That said, I think Holmes will offer him a reasonable contract. Whether he accepts or not will be the question. Either way, I hope Homes can re-work his magic and land a great rookie corner and a great rookie pass rusher.

I like our chances versus the NFC teams. But those AFC teams are built different. The Ravens scare the shit out if me.
