Glad to get the W. Lots of injuries. Really hope everyone's just dinged. Both teams were flying around on D and hitting. Arnold draws flags, but he is like flypaper in coverage. Lol at the DMo run where his feet weren't touching the ground for 5 yds. Clutch pass by Goff to seal the game. Great work by the D. I'm starting to hate Ben Johnson.

Other than the 4th, I didn’t have an issue with BJ. I think Goff isn’t seeing the field well and is pre-determining his throws too much. Even the first touchdown to St. brown, not a bad decision but Gibbs ran the angle and didn’t have anyone within 10 yards of him. Seemed like once he took that hit on the 2 minute warning play he just didn’t seem comfortable. Did make a big throw on 3rd down to help close it out, and the crazy legs run.
D stepped up big time. Even with some tough calls. Weak PI on Davis when Harrison arm barred him and that wasn’t roughing on Paschal.
So much for hoping for them to come out healthy. That was a scary collision with Branch and McBride. I’d expect some bad news soon on Barnes and McNeil.

I don't think I've ever seen a game with so many injuries. Fingers crossed. La Porta was carted off. Branch should get a few days off. He earned it. Recoup. Next week against Seahawks will be tough game

Seemed pretty clear Barnes tore his ACL. That is one injury they can usually determine on the field and the towel on the head is a tell tale sign.
I can't help but think what this team would be with a top tier QB. I know Goff has his moments and you can do a lot worse, but he's so mid and needs everything to be perfect around him.

Campbell said he didn’t think there were any season ending injuries today. But who knows. I still wouldn’t expect them back any time soon.
Yep, was a good win. The offense is still concerning (zero points in the second half), but I think the offense was shaky to start last season too if I remember correctly.
By the way, when was the last designed hook & ladder play that wasn't at the end of a game out of desperation?

Didn’t Lions run it with Swift in that final GB game 2 years ago?
maybe its me but it looked to me Gibbs wasnt happy sitting in crucial time while Montgomery got the rock often. issue going forward? i think Gibbs is much more explosive and i understand Montgomery at goal line but the switching them every possession is stupid.Gibbs should be the workhorse unless its crucial short yardage. then give the rock to montgomery. just my take. i did like using 2 TEs more to solve the 3rd reciever issue. even posted a message on twitter to that effect to tim twentyman a few days ago.

Naw they're good. They are bros. A great one two punch. Keep things how they are

Montgomery is just so strong and he gets you so many yards after contact. What a 1-2 , 2-1 punch we have. I don't see these guys getting upset. I did see Jamo show some frustration when Goff over threw that pass to him on the sidelines. He was pretty quiet in the game. Good problem to have, we have some weapons and certain guys will have quiet games, only so many placed to go with the rock.

Really there is no excuse for the offense not running on all cylinders. The only new piece across the entire offense is Zeilter. Other than him, this offense was fully intact all of last season, with many of the players (Goff, St. Brown, Raymond, Wright, most of the o-line) having been here for 3 years or more. If swapping out one OG (with an accomplished veteran) is gumming up the whole system, we've got bigger issues here. This should be a well-oiled machine. I get week 1 issues due to no preseason, but according to Campbell, they have been going full speed for 60+ plays a day against our 1st team D, which looks pretty good by the way. If we can't get our timing down or get the kinks worked out with that much work put into it, it's a personnel issue.
I agree that Goff continues to be an issue. One of his biggest weaknesses is going through his progressions. If option 1 is covered, you can see the panic/happy feet kick in. I've only seen a couple of successful checkdowns this season. I can't tell if it's that BJ's offense is too complicated for him, or if the clock in his head is telling him he's out of time when he still has a decent pocket, but I know we are missing out on wide open receivers (I watch the all 22 film whenever available, and it is very clear we are leaving a lot of points on the field). Fortunately, our defense has baled us out of 2 of our 3 games, but there is no reason this offense should be averaging 20 pts per game.
