bottom line we won. Minny did a good job of limiting Montgomery, Jamo, and La Porta. But Gibbs is on another level. he is amazing. His 40 some yard TD run turned the tide for us. if not for that Montgomery fumble the game wouldnt have been close. Its obvious we miss Hutch. make a trade for Crosby ASAP. he is worth it. we play division teams 5 times yet going forward as well as Houston and SF and Buffalo. gonna be a tough stretch. Personally i think we can win out rest of the way but we need a trade for a DE to do it. relying on Paschal and Houston wont get it done.
I’d love to know the amount of illegal contact, holding, PI calls the Lions have drawn. Lions DB’s are physical so some of it comes with the territory. But some of these calls are a little too ticky tack for me to believe that’s not happening on the other side of the ball.
Looked into this.
The answer to this is zero. 7 games and Lions with arguably the best offense in football hasn’t drawn a single defensive holding, illegal contact or PI. Not sure how that’s even possible with the way refs have thrown flags this season.

That's crazy. Maybe law of averages coming our way?

Hard to say. If what was being called as holding on our offensive line was applied to Hutchinson, he would've drawn dozens of holding calls this season. It appears we still don't get "winners" calls yet. Watch any Chiefs game and they get away with things that we get flagged for all the time.

You’d like to think so. No way I’m digging into the other 31 teams, but can’t imagine there’s many, if any at all, that haven’t drawn a call.
My biggest issue is the amount that are getting called on Lions secondary, a lot deserved, but how can you then when the ball is flipped to the other side, not see a single one on the other side? Crazy to me.
Also feels like refs are calling Lions DB’s on reputation now. They’re physical so any contact throw a flag. Jefferson ran into Davis on an in breaking route today and they called him for illegal contact.
They have a really cool stadium and greatvl fan base, to go in there in that environment and get the W was huge! Especially with how depleted we are on the DL.
Was it me or was the board down for a while last night? Did a Visqueen fan get passed and hack us? 😆
No idea how you blow that call but Felix is right, probably not getting it anyway. Still D’Arnold’s head spun right around, what are these refs doing.
Rams right back in the mix with that win and upcoming schedule.
Referees have become so bad that it is really impacting the NFL product on the field. Half the time they're throwing flags on extremely ticky-tack crap, the other half they're missing major infractions. It should come as no surprise that this downgrade in quality coincided with the league climbing into bed with Draft Kings and organized gambling.
