wow...can't remember a time where the Lions were a 9 point favorite. I think the Panthers will be motivated to get that first win, but watching them play against the Vikings last week, the D line should be in for another big game. Combined with the crowd noise, they should get quite a few pressures/sacks. Bryce Young is having the hardest transition so far to the NFL of the high drafted rookie QBs, so he could be in for a rough day.
The Panthers defense gave up 5.6 yards/carry to Mattison last week, the Lions should be able to get to them. Their pass defense isn't terrible and will probably be the only thing that could keep them in the game.
It looks like we'll be rolling without our best defensive player (Branch). Although getting Kirby back softens the blow a little.
I wonder if this is a Decker and Montgomery situation. I think they felt they could beat the Falcons at home without them, but needed them for Green Bay.
Same thinking...The Lions should still be able to beat Carolina at home without ARSB and Branch, but probably need them to beat Tampa next weekend.

I'm not so sure, especially St. Brown. I feel like he is the most important player on offense and when he was out or hobbled last year the offense struggled.
This sure feels like a trap game. We didn't play very well at home after our last road victory followed by a 10 day gap.
I know. Bryce Young looking for a breakout game. This game scares me a little. I hope we don't take this too lightly. Carolina is like Seattle. Man, they both seem to play well against us. This is a must win because it should be a win and that is the tough part.
Sounds like Laporta will see a lot of targets taking over some of the move the chain type catches Brown normally sees, could see alot of Williams and Raymond on the field at the same time so that will be a different dynamic from a speed stand point.
Almost tempted to take Carolina and the points but sticking with my rule of never voting for or against the Lions. It never goes well. So as a fan I'm leaving this one alone. 🖕🖕
