The false start was bad, but honestly that's the only egregious one I remember that didn't go the Lions way. I remember at least 5-6 calls or non-calls in the Lions favor that were totally bogus. Hell, that one play that likely concussed Stafford I think 3 different Lions might have fouled him.

I'll take it either way, but I don't know how you could have watched this game and thought the Rams weren't on the short side of the refs' incompetence.

Hutchinson was clean on that hit. McNeil was the only argument, but even then Hutchinson hit him backwards into McNeil who was pushed from behind by a Rams OLineman. Also the fact Stafford was allowed back into that game is serious red flag for thr NFL.

There biggest argument is the last pass to Puka, but I guarantee if you go through that game, you can find a Rams player doing the same thing.

The PI on Branch was nothing but legs getting cross if I remember.

But the crowd chanting "Bullshit" when the false start vs Defensive offsides was priceless.  Not sure if that made it across the sound on TV, but it was loud in the stadium.

I think they did allow the players to play a bit more than they have throughout the season, but there was still some ticky tack penalties called that suggest that this was not their M.O.

It's never been a secret how I feel about NFL officiating and this year has been the worst I have ever seen. I'll say this, right now. I'm not on board with the conspiracy theories, just yet. But if they don't take the officiating problem seriously after the complete abortion that was this season, it's going to be tough to prevent those thoughts from creeping in, eventually.
