Now we need another corner and have to eat some of his pay against the cap next two seasons....what an asshat!
well when people commit crime, I doubt the first thing they think of is...."damn, what is work gonna think about this?"
Sounds like it might amount a dead cap of about $2.2 mil for 2024 and 2025 after the Lions will eventually get the league to void his guaranteed salary, but from my understanding they get a portion of it after June 1st and the 10.5 mil won't happen until after his legal battle is over.

I really despise the over-reaction, but I mean, I get it.
He deserves to have this played out.
When someone can't be reached, isn't there a possibility he could have been abducted?
Or that his life, or that of his family is being threatened?
I mean, shouldn't we be giving a grown adult the benefit of the doubt that he might be in danger?
possibly, but I suspect the timeline of events point to a (probably)very likely conclusion that he is on the run. But...perhaps he drove off a bridge somewhere, or something g to that effect. I think that is more likely than abduction

Yeah, he's either on the run or dead. No other scenario. Abduction??? Really?

If I were going to have someone assassinated or abducted (most likely for purposes of blackmail), best way I could think of to cover it up would be to bring allegations against him.

World would simply assume he was on the run.
Absolutely brilliant strategy.
if you say so...suicide or car accident seems a lot easier to me....

Someone has been reading too many Robert Ludlum novels. If Sutton was a government official, or we were in the Middle East, maybe. I'm almost certain no one has ever assassinated or abducted a mid-tier NFL player in my lifetime

The NFL is a multi-billion dollar organization.
Imagine if you were a player, and you knew about wrong-doings going on at the commissioner or owner level. We all know that there are all sorts of wrong-doings going on at many layers of multi-billion dollar organizations.
My guess is that he knew too much about something.
And we all know what happens to whistleblowers who know too much.
I never comment on people's personal lives. Nobody could fathom what someone else is going through. I have no comment other than the two CB's we signed before last year didn't work out. Hopefully this year it works out better, whoever we draft or sign and we DO need CB's like (insert metaphor of your choosing about something desperately needed)
