I get much of the staff are former Patriots. Matt Patricia has adopted a Bilcheck style of coaching with the focus being on defense, but it kills me when this comparison and topic is unloaded into a conversation. It's like an NBA team saying, "we want to copy the formula of the 1990's Chicago Bulls teams." That's great and all, but the problem with that comparison is that we do not have the Michael Jordan of the NFL. That person has currently been a New England Patriot ever he started to get playing time.
There is such a bump in talent when comparing Brady and Stafford. While Stafford is functionable and admirable at times with his ability, his professional constancy is like a CFL QB in comparison to GOAT. I like Stafford and his guts, buy Brady throws VERY FEW if any, errant passes and is very smart with his reads and is super efficient in operating his offense. He knows what it takes to win an NFL game and never takes a play, let alone a drive off. Not much is wasted by Brady and he exploits other teams mistakes like no others. A step slow in coverage? Bam, complete pass. Wrong defense put in? Bam, complete pass. No pass rush? Bam, complete pass.
The Patriots have Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, we have serviceable players, like Joe Dumars and Bill Laimbeer. Good players, but far from Jordan and Pippen. Js
Agree, Brady is what he is because he’s in NE. put him on another team he won’t be near as good. I I like Stafford and Staffords strength is throwing the ball a lot. .Johnsons injury will actually be helpful as we will lean on the pass more heavily which fits the OL better as well. Start using ty Johnson in screens often and he will break some long plays with his speed. I think we need to see how Ty plays out as the starter and focus on his going forward as Kerryon Johnson is too brittle. I hope Quinn trades for a legit DE by the trade deadline. Get one and the D becomes a lot better. Our offense can score with the best. Get that DE and we can make a serious run for the playoffs and even win the North.

You guys are crazy. Sure, Brady wouldn't have 6 rings if he didn't have Belichick, but Belichick wouldn't have 6 rings if he didn't have Brady. No QB in the history of the NFL has made more with nothing than Brady. And from everything I've heard, no one has a greater desire to win than Brady.

Yep Brady is that once every two decades type player. He broke all of joe Montana's records with lesser WR's. He is dedicated and is allergic to losing. He has that Jordan competitive mentality in ANYTHING let alone sports. Brady is rare and if he wasn't a Patriot, we'd be saying some other coach was the best ever not Bellicheck. Sure Bellichek is great, but an yother QB and he doesn't have 6 rings.
At current, I think Stafford on the Patriots would be 8-0 and Brady on the Lions would probably be 1-6.
Can you honestly say that Tom Brady has won any of the games for the Pats this year? No you can't.
Do you think that Brady has look quite pedestrian as a QB this season and the only games he looked good are against teams that have 2 or less wins? The only answer is yes.

Hard to dispute that Stafford (or just about any average QB) wouldn't be 8-0 with the way the Patriots defense has played and the soft schedule. But I think a guy like Brady finds a way to win the Arizona, KC & GB games. Stafford was awful in the second half of those games. Don't forget the Lions do have better receivers and TEs than the Pats do.
But you only mention this year. What about throughout their careers?

That was basically my point is that Stafford has had to win games by putting up points. The Patriots defense has been the major reason they are undefeated.
Not talking about careers...frankly Brady is the probably the best QB ever to play the game, or at least top 3. But with age comes diminishing skills.
