It would appear that a Pass Rushing DE is sorely needed, Upgrades on the OL (Perennial) need, another RB as Kerryon appears to be paper mache. Also DB is a concern..Lets face it..We have pretty much the worst defense in the NFL. So I think the party is over for 2019..Sad to say..6-9-1 at best

Didn’t even list the biggest need on Defense..... LB’s.
Not that I think they’ll address it because they’re enamored with Davis’ leadership and traits, despite his shit play. They extended Jones, I’m sure because he’s”versatile”, but good at nothing. Tavai has been ok, but they need major help.
Also, no matter how much talent you add, the scheme and philosophy need adjusting.
Let me just copy and paste this here from the old board, so now we are rebuilding Quinn's first rebuild?
You can only replace so many players in one given year. Sure Quinn has his misses in the draft but most of his draft picks are contributing. I understand not upgrading RB or DL when you have to fill holes on OL LB and secondary. If you think about what has hurt the Lions it's been the old guys getting injured and underperformance from guys like Ebron and young TE s learning on the job. In fact the young guys like Davis, Reeves Maybin, and second year guys have filled in admirably.
This is a rebuild!

This roster will be turned over by next season from when Quinn took over with exception of a small groups of players.
The impact players are FA signings and young players drafted by Quinn.
Slay, Stafford may be the only ones left by this time next season.
OL: rebuilt Lb: rebuilt DL: Ngata and Ansah? Gone next season...rebuild TE: I don't expect Ebron back...rebuilding this position. Have a bunch of young guys
If you are replacing this many players you are going to lack depth. This team has been in a rebuild phase since Quinn came here. Just because the team has QB does t mean they are not rebuilding.

What about all the FA's?
Quinn has aggressively turned this roster over. There is a strong core of young players that was not there when Mayhew has this team. For the first time I can remember they are relying on a lot of young players.
I would add Mayben Reeves and Hyder when healthy. That is 9 players, almost have the team is second year or rookies that are playing a lot of time. If that isn't a "Core" of young players I don't know what it. Of course the Tates, Staffords ETC. are the nucleus. But your acting like the young players are not a factor....they are!!!!
We are relying on this young "Core" of players to carry a big load. We are in a rebuild phase, they are turning the roster over and expect even more Millhew guys gone next season.

I have been going on for a while now about the rebuild. Can we all agree we are in a rebuild phase?
What can we say about the team moving forward?
OL...not sure why all the hype. A rookie OC will take some time to make a difference and the Right side of the OL is MEH. Really like the left side and hope the rookie is the best thing since Kevin Glover and not Raiola! I say we will see that right side blown up after this season and yet more of a rebuild here.
RB: See above. Again its hype until the OL can open some holes
TE: Hate to say it, Ebron was a pain in the ass but we may not see the production from that position this season like we did last year. We have some young guys and lets hope they develop
DL .... Oh boy, hot mess
LB ...Oh boy, hot mess
(I wish they drafted some more help here versus trading those pics)
Secondary...should be ok, like the safety they drafted
REALLY concerned abut the front 7, also a scheme change there is a rebuild going on here for sure.
Quite evident that a (4) man rush with present company is nowhere near enough. Many predicted that the DL was the strength of this Defense. I think we can dispel that notion. Actually the DL is unable to generate enough of a Pass Rush to be effective at all. Prescott had enough time to shower and brush his teeth quite a few times today. Kind of a Sad thing to watch. Well some good looking Draft picks on the horizon...Appears 3-12-1 not out of reach. If Miami can win 4 games...Hallelujah.

They’re 10 right now, if they lose out, which they won’t, they’d be fairly high. I think some of those bad AFC teams are gonna end up beating each other.
I think they might beat Washington....but after that...Tampa Bay, depends which Tampa Bay team shows up. Denver starting to play much better. 4-11-1 my best guess

This all assuming Stafford is shut down for the season, which I’d be surprised if it happens. I think we could see him back for Thanksgiving. And if that’s the case, I think they’ll finish with 6-7 wins at worst.

With or without Stafford, 6 wins AT BEST. No excuse to lose to Washington no matter who is QB. After that they might win 2 of Chicago, Denver or Tampa. A wild card could be if GB has nothing to play for in week 17 but most likely they will.

I think 7-8 pick is most likely. I think Miami, Giants, Washington, Cincy, Arizona will still definitely finish behind them. So then it's a toss-up with Denver (who they play), Atlanta, Chargers (who they beat), Tampa (who they play) and even Jacksonville potentially in the mix.
Of course this is the Lions so they will probably go on to win out when it means nothing and finish 7-8-1 and end up with pick 15.

I think one of the Dolphins or Giants, likely Giants, win 4. Giants have Miami and Washington still. Miami has Cincy, Giants, Jets all they could pull off.

Could be, but I think the Lions will win at least one more game, probably more. They'll win just enough to fukk themselves.

Most likely, though they seem to have an amazing ability to be in every game and lose over the last few weeks.

Yeah, but that was when they still mathematically had a chance for the playoffs. Now that it doesn't matter if they win, they will win. They'll probably even beat GB. And why haven't they put Stafford on IR yet?
