If they win these games like they truly DID, if not for completely bias refs, this season would be different.
THESE GAMES WERE MORAL KILLERS.
Make no mistake. The straw that broke the season was Trey Flowers two fake calls. 2 bogus hands to the face and nothing happens, we just take the L and move on.
I remember game 1 in Chicago, the process of the catch with Megatron to win it. They said he didn't catch it. They lose and go on to lose out. Remember the ATL game when Tate scored, but they said he was down and ran the clock off? They win that game vs. ATL and playoffs were looking good. There is NO WAY there was inadmissible evidence he was down to reverse that call. This year it was KC with the fumble run back debacle, phantom calls and the GB game. Every year it's some game or two that screws the Lions.
It's BEYOND COINCIDENCE AT THIS POINT.
Detroit is not an NFL big market team and are treated as such.
Like a purple headed step child that is abused, the NFL slapped them around and they acted accordingly, backing down and not caring after that.

I'll agree on the GB game, I think this teams lost any passion after that game.
I was very convinced the NFL wanted the game last night to be close, so many ticky tack penalties on SF when GB had the ball, but it couldn't overcome the SF defense.
The NFL can't deny talent and coaching, the Lions have never been good at either. I don't think there is some conspiracy, I think if the Lions were good they would be a good PR story.
If there is something more behind owner's doors, then you might have a beef, I don't think the NFL old farts like women owners.

Eh, good teams overcome those things, not lay down and die. Remember the "Fail Mary" play from several years ago? That game made GB 1-2 and they went on to finish 11-5 and win a playoff game.

Injuries and poor coaching had the major impact on the team, but I do think Green Bay game took a little wind out of them and combine that with the coaching and injuries and they never got it back.
