Big hole in the D line now....Chris Jones, DJ Reader, Arik Armstead, Javon Hargrave...all possibilities. Plus a DE Matt Judon, Shaq Barrett, Yannick Ngakoue, Dante Fowler...Big, Big changes coming now.
Parting sounded mutual. Quinn fucked this one, he never should have extended him.
At least it was a very short term mistake. Same with Daniels. Snacks may sign with someone else and play well, but I think his time as a full time force in the middle is over. But he would be an asset to sign with the Patriots as part of their rotation. Got to keep that Patriot connection going...

I don't think people should lump Snacks in the Tate, Diggs, Slay arena of hating Matt Patricia and/or Quinn. Everyone blames the team for these guys not being here, but I don't think you can do that with Snacks.
Snacks didn't like the system that was being run and didn't want to come here. It was really on him, he played with a bad attitude and that showed last season.
But the most perplexing thing is why he signed the extension if he absolutely did not want to be here...that part is the weirdest thing. Or he knew what he was doing by getting more money out of the team and knew he would just wade through last season and get released.

The last part is true. He was just trying to maximize his money for last year.
Snacks seems like a good guy, but his story is all over the place and doesn’t add up. After the season it was on him and was considering retirement, then it wasn’t on him and he was ready to go, now it was a scheme thing and he never wanted to be here. Then when it’s pointed out he excelled in the scheme in ‘18, it’s back to being on him.
He didn’t seem down on Patricia and actually complimented him, but there was also clearly a big disconnect. I have no doubt Patricia is a great defensive mind and a smart guy, but at some point the question becomes in the process of building exactly what you want, at what point do you realize it’s not going to be perfect and you have to make some adjustments? I’ll give him credit that he seemed to with some personality things last season, but I wonder if he can when it comes to scheme and philosophy on D, because it seems like he needs such specific guys, mainly up front and LB, that it makes it extremely difficult to build.
I've been really disappointed in his comments since he left Detroit. Apparently he avoided answering the phone to Bob Quinn before he arrived because he was trying to think of a way of getting out of the trade. Last year he certainly played like a man who had no interest in wearing a Lions uniform. Poor show.
I’d resign Snacks for League minimum. make the offer any way.
You drunk already? Draft hasn't even started.
Can never have enough depth. His role would be limited to 1st downs and goal line defense. Depth can always be upgraded. That’s all he would be. And for clarity, I’m two beers away from being drunk. LOL.
