And offers you their first, second, and fourth with Burrow and Young off the board. What do you do?
Think it is an interesting situation. Not just Carolina, but any team after Miami. I think there are 3 prospects that are a cut above the rest that would be huge gets for the Lions. Okudah, Simmons, and Brown. Are you willing to likely give up a shot on one of them to get an extra second and fourth?
Free agency will have an impact, but I am a little torn on this. With Brown I think at least you have Kinlaw that you could argue may be comparable. Simmons is a freak, no one like him and he could be a major weapon. I like guys like CJ Henderson and Trevon Diggs a lot, but Okudah is rare to me.
Kind of off topic, but I think there’s a decent chance Young is there at 3, too. If some team falls in love with Tua they may not want to risk someone else being aggressive and trading up to 2 for him and Skins may get offer they can’t pass up.
Possibly, but you put on his tape games against Bama or LSU and he’s throwing their offensive lineman around and it’s easy to not too caught up. If someone slips to back end of top 10 will likely be him because of the questions of how much pass rush you’re getting out of him.

I thought he was a borderline top 10 prospect before the combine. I like him, but don't like him at #3 and not even crazy about him at #7. Would love a couple trade downs and still get him.
I am falling out of love with my pre-combine picks for who I want if they stay at #3OA. But I also know that doing endurance drills doesn't tell anyone how a player will be on gameday. I am guessing a lot of these combine studs don't really make it in the NFL unless they already had a stud of a college career. I just looked back at the results from previous years and there is a lot of guys who excelled in these drills but were never heard from again.
We TRADE DOWN. PAY Slay and sign Okudah, sures up the ends. Help O line or LB with extra pick! I am liking this, Slay is already working out with Okudah according to Twitter. Would be sweet

I do not want Okudah at #3 at all.
But...I will be okay with him if they can get another pick in a trade down. That would be great value, taking him solely at #3 is the most Lions thing they could do, so I assume they will unless someone drops unexpectedly to them.

Goldie you are about one of the fiercest most die hard lions fans I have ever come across during my journey upon this vast wasteland, outside myself and some select others from this site, which is so rare, it's like we have the coronavirus. That said, what did I say? I would only do that if we got another pick. Just Okudah at #3 would be a dumb Millen like pick. But an extra second rounder would be worth it. See what I'm saying? That said, take your vitamins you sick fuck ha If you are like me you've had this damn virus since the 80's and it doesn't seem to be going anyway anytime soon. My only hope is there is a vaccine before my corpse goes cold. A SuperBowl win would do the trick, something to wipe this shit out completely! salut

I think close to 10 million once the prorated money is taken care of. I don’t see it happening. I think the Lions want a more cost effective option at G.
Surprising fact, Turner was drafted 2 years before Glasgow but is younger.

I agree, if they would be willing to spend that much, they might as well have tried to resign Glasgow (unless he wanted crazy money, but that's not likely).
Although I wonder with Glasgow's past, maybe he had an under the radar slip up that while being a Lion that fell out of favor with Quinn...considering his past issues.
5 year pro bowl player? They cost what they cost. Draft D with their pick, likely Brown is still there. Trenches just got better and those guys make life easier on O and D for the rest of the team. I know, just stupid to covet probowlers.
But they've obviously shown a willingness to spend large in FA, there was no reason to spend at OG when we actually had starters on the team. Now we don't. Would it surprise me to see them do it? Yep, because there is very little that they do that I have thought was smart.

They’ve let Warford and now likely Glasgow walk, both with what appears no desire to re-sign them. Maybe that’s more about the individual players, but I just get the impression they don’t want to spend big money at the position.
With Turner it’s at least a small window of big money, but I just think they’d rather draft or find something cheaper in FA. Just my guess.
Sure it's a lot of money, quality ain't free. They aren't going to draft an OG in the first 2 rounds, they lucked out with Warford in the 3rd but that isn't going to happen again. You get what you pay for, sometimes you get less than that, and you get nothing if you don't make the move. This ain't Jesse James we're talking about here, this is a guy who has proven it over and over, not a guy who has never done shit.
