Yeah, I think it may be higher than that. Rivera has time to build and I could see that making him open to taking Tua and having a fresh start or willing to take a nice package to move back with a team trading up for Tua.

I agree, Cam Newton saved him from being fired years ago and he could convince Snyder that Tua is the real deal and lead them to the promised land.
Plus if there are teams that really love Tua, they’re not going to wait until 3 and let their be a chance someone else will jump up and grab him.
Might just be wishful thinking, but I think there’s a real chance Young is there at 3.
I agree teams fall in love with QBs and overpay to get the next Brady or Manning or whoever. I like the spot the Lions are in, would have liked it a little better being at #2, but granted I know it wouldn’t be as dramatic.
It seems that it is a foregone conclusion that Cincinnati picks Burrow.Maybe they pick Young and stick with Dalton.... What if some team offers some ungodly amount of picks to the Bengals because they worship Burrow. I kind of doubt that...but you never know. This will be a interesting Draft. If it goes the way many think...Bengals...Burrow, Skins Young...Then the Lions almost have to pick Tua..They can let him sit on the sidelines for a couple of years..Best Scenario is teams get into a bidding war for Tua and offer up the farm to the lions. Lions need a lot of things...so Trade down Young if there Tua if no Earth Shattering offer comes in Simmons Brown If none of that is there..Yikes
Drafting Tua might be the only way to get a trade down if Young is gone.
Why wouldn't a team who wants Tua just trade up to get him? I think the only time a draft and trade happens on Draft Day is if the guy is adamant about not playing for an organization (the only ones I can think of are Eli Manning and John Elway). Granted we still have little less than 2 months for more info on Tua coming out saying he will not play for Detroit.

I think there is some validity to what Dane is saying. If you draft Tua you might get more QB-needy teams in panic mode calling and thus pit them against each other. Or perhaps a situation where Miami is confident enough to where Tua falls to them (which could very well happen) and so are hesitant to offer too much to move up. But if the Lions then draft Tua the price goes up.

In this era of rookie contracts, you don't see that anymore. Not sure why a pre-draft or when the Lions are on the clock trade is way more plausible. I don't see the Lions drafting Tua and team trading for him after the fact, that just isn't done and Tua is good but he is NOT a generational talent. I think if Detroit drafted Tua, then other teams would just move on.
