I felt this was coming...Not enough presence on the field to warrant them big bucks. I think this will be the wave of the future for our Detroit Lions. So a free agent OT is probably on the wish list. Definitely a draft pick.

Sounds like Crosby will be taking over. We will still need someone to replace Glasgow. Surprised they are not trying to keep him maybe Glasgow just wants out.

Glasgow is a "good" player who can play multiple positions. I think he will command more as a FA then what the Lions Value that position to be paid. In other words Glasgow is going to get paid, just not by the Lions. Too bad, he is a good player and durable. If he were an all pro monster guard it would be a different story.
But I am a lesser fan of Quinn being able to find a replacement.
I am curious to see when this all shakes out how much cap space and payroll the Lions have going into the season.
Wagner, Glasgow, Slay, Snacks.... curious what they do to replace them.
I'm holding out hope that Slay sticks around, it's crazy to me that a team that stubbornly asks their corners to cover in man coverage while they rush 3 or 4 would trade away a top 10 CB.
Maybe there isn't much drop off between Wagner and Crosby but trying to go cheap on the offensive line when you have a QB who didn't finish the season because of the a broken bone in his back seems like a risky move to me.

Absolutley, if they let Slay walk, even Glasgow those shoes are going to be tough to fill. They are going to have to spend some money in FA to do it. This is why bring up the cap space again. Are the Lions going to spend in FA? I am curious ...you got a 3 win team and they are looking at losing some of their best guys. I always said the Lions are looking to lower payroll right now with the way the economy is going. Call me crazy... but how they address contracts and fill these holes and how much they spend will be telling.
