I have fears this might make it so team "know" the Lions aren't interested in Tua.
That thought occurred to me as well but as has been pointed out it shouldn't matter if a team wants to move up just to ensure they get their guy it doesn't matter if they don't think the Lions will take him.
That said, while I do think this makes the already very low chance of them taking Tua even lower, I don't think it completely rules it out. Their thought process could be that Tua wasn't gonna start anyway so just carry 3 QBs and Tua would hold the clipboard for a season.

No it doesn't. It tells a team like the Dolphins they don't have to move up. Despite what many think, only the Chargers are only the other ones who need a QB and they don't have the draft capital to move up. So Miami can just stand pat. I think the Giants are in a better position to get a trade offer from the Chargers. No one else in the top 10 will be going after a QB. Carolina, nope. Arizona, nope. Jacksonville, not likely. Cleveland, nope. Nobody is moving up from outside the top 10 to number 3....will never happen. The Lions are going to blow this pick just like they have been blowing free agency.
If a team wants Tua that bad they aren’t waiting and taking the chance no one else goes and gets him.
You keep believing that....
Then Tua isn’t the prospect that people think. If he is then multiple teams will want him and they aren’t going to wait until 4. I actually don’t think they’ll wait until 3, and will be calling Washington, just a matter if they’re willing to give up on Young.

You are delusional. And not in tune with what is happening.

So you think Tua is a top flight prospect and teams are just going to hope that no one else trades up for him before the Giants pick?

I don't think Tua is a surefire top talent. Injury history is damning, despite what the doctors would clear him for. There are other QBs that teams can just wait for. This isn't the greatest year for QB prospects.
