If Chase Young is as good as they say he is maybe the lions should trade up one pick to get him. According to this trade value chart it would cost swapping first round picks, giving a 3rd and a 4th round pick. We have 2 third round picks so would be a good trade IMO. Thoughts? We have plenty of picks, and get what we need the most. walterfootball.com/draftchart.php
I have been thinking about this same scenario for at least a week.
I would be okay with this trade. I love the idea of having what i think is the best player in this draft at a position that is worth the draft slot.
By the way, add in a 3rd in 2021 and this is basically the trade that the Bears got in 2017 and picked Trubisky.
Actually looking at Quinn’s draft history he’s been spotty at best in 2nd round and great in 3rd round. So I’d be ok with swapping firsts and giving our 2nd to move up one spot. It’s a little more than value cost but we keep our Other picks.

Simmons is awesome, but I just have no idea how the Lions would use him. Don’t see at LB, think most teams don’t, and I think he’d play Tracy Walker’s role at Safety. I’d be surprised if he was the pick.
Washington would want more than that to give up the chance of having Chase Young. As exciting a prospect as Young is, this team can't afford to be giving away draft picks when it is so full of holes. It's a no from me.
