I think anyone the Lions would covet at #3 would be available at #5, I think a 2nd I would be happy with but honestly though I think I could be convinced of just a 3rd also, remember they shipped a top 5 CB away for a 2nd rounder.
There’s 500 points difference between the 3rd and 5th pick. Miami’s 2nd round pick is 530 points so that would be a few points more than equal, but knowing Miami wants to move up bad I would ask:
Swap 1st rd picks Miami gives us 2nd rd pick Miami give us 3rd rd pick and we give them our 2nd third rd pick
So we would have 5th pick in 1st rd (1700 points) (we dropped 500 points) 3rd and 5th picks in 2nd rd (530 points from Miami’s pick) 3rd and 5th picks in 3rd rd ( 245 points from Miami’s pick) Miami gets 3rd pick in 1st rd (2200 points) our 2nd pick in 3rd round (pick number 85) (165 points)
Miami is basically giving up 590 points for this deal. 110 point premium but not outrageous if they want the 1st round pick bad enough it’s not asking too much

i need another 1st....but I assume a 2nd or 3rd might do it for Quinn, because I am convinced that both the Dolphins and Chargers are just gonna sit pat and not give up capital and just take their best on the board (might not even be a QB). I really could see the Dolphins pass on a QB at #5 and use their later 1sts to grab someone like Love if they really want a new one or just roll with Rosen this year.

Is this the old Jimmy Johnson value chart or some new one?
I don't know if anyone has ever updated these value chart once the rookie wage scale was put in place. Because I think the cost of signing a top tier player may have been a factor in the old scale. I don't think most teams even care about the salary nowadays of first round picks, they just want more talent on their team.

if the value adds up anywhere in the first round. The d needs bodies so double down on edge and dtackle, Detroit has to have a pass rush PERIOD. then double down on oline and receiver.
Local Sports Channels reporting that Lions considering drafting Tua over Okudah. Saw a report on Channel 7 news....Very Interesting that this is dribbling out at this juncture.
