Ok, we need CB's and the first round is loaded. We also need a DT and while Carter is likely gone, I go ahead and take Bresee although I'm hoping for a trade down.
1a. Bresee DT 1b. Gonzalez CB
2a Battle 2b Jarrett Patterson OG
3 Jack Campbell ILB
5 Deuce Vaughn RB
Still working on the 6th round. Add a few FA's to that group and we take a big step forward.
we could trade decker, move sewell to LT and get RT in draft or FA. saves another 13 mil trading Decker.
No thanks. I like the line the way it is and wouldn't touch it other than RG as who knows what we'll get from Vaitai. Why roll the dice on a new RT? This line should only get better if they stay together.
My first inclination is to take mental notes when people think that somehow trading Decker is a good thing. If you want more cap space we have several cuts we could still make, R Okwara, $7 million. Cabinda $2 million, and there's others we could move.

TRUMP always wants to trade everyone. (I guess the username checks out...)

He also has some guys he doesn’t like, no matter how well they play, Decker is on that list.

First off, you chose excellent talent.
1a. Bresee is a Boom/Bust talent. You are taking a very large risk in the top 10. Many have him going at the end of the first round. Some as late as the 3rd round. I would take Bijan Robinson, RB, Texas. 1b. Gonzalez is just outstanding and will go between picks from the mid-teens to early 20s. Some believe he could be the best CB for the slot in this draft. Lions need that type of CB to proceed to the next level. I see at least 5 to 6 CBs taken in the first round. This is the best CB crop in years. The Lions need to take 2 in this draft.
2a. Battle is hands down the best safety of the draft, and will go in the first round, he is that good. I would take Siaki Ika, DT, with this pick. Lions need the beef in the middle and this kid can move, very powerful. 2b. Absolutely love Jarrett Patterson, born to play RG in the NFL. He is averaging at pick 77 at this time. I would take Noah Sewell, LB, with this pick. Has as much talent as his big brother.
3. Jack Campbell is the perfect Pittsburgh Steeler ILB. Also, can play middle linebacker in 4/3 system, one tough SOB. He will likely go in the 2nd round. I would take Jarrett Patterson, RG, with this pick.
5. Deuce Vaugh is a Darren Sproles clone and will likely go in the 4th round. I would take Eli Ricks, CB, with this pick. He should be an undrafted mental case but has 1st round talent. MCDC will teach him to run through walls.
6a. Cameron Ward, QB, NFL arm strength, very accurate, good mobility. He can sit a year or 2 and learn. He will be an excellent backup. 6b. ?

I hate to say it, but this upcoming draft maybe the most important yet. We hit and it will pay dividends I think. I said that to say this...how nice would it be to see the Lions in a SB? It's been a lifetime fellas. Also, I think if this Lions team made the playoffs, they might still be in it. That last sentence is only half hyperbole. Let's go guys, let's hit this draft. and NO TE's in the first 3 rounds. salut
y'all might not like it but i could see detroit trading up for Bryce Young to pair him with williams. its worked out good for Cincci and it would likely do the same here and i think we ould be shocked at what we give up to do it. so just be prepared. its a possibility. not one id do.

Wow, that would be a very big surprise. Also cost quite a bit of draft capitol.
I would bring in Herman Moore to work with Goff and Williams, he does an excellent job of breaking down how and why Williams gets open. Run some plays that Alabama ran, find a comfort level.
Crazy, off the wall idea- why not go Corner/Corner in the first round? What is a QB slips to 6 and you can move back and pick up another 2nd round pick. Could you imagine Witherspoon AND Gonzalez/Smith/Porter Jr? I'm not sold on Okudah or Jacobs but you have depth now. With 3 second round picks, you can grab LBs/DTs that are there. The ends are Hutch, Okwara, Cominsky (Hybrid) and Houston. (harris is cut). You gonna pick up Okudah's option for $11? I'm not. Now I have 2 replacements already.
For those who want Decker gone, WTF you would do that? You finally have talent and now want to give it away? He isn't that expensive at all for what he does and he is a GOOD PLAYER.
Would love to see corner/corner. Just my dream I guess
If 2 CB’s works, then do it. If it no CB’s are there they want, take the best guy. They have a lot of flexibility to do what they want.
Just pray the Raiders are still in need of a QB.
Agree with both points. I wouldn't mind a trade down for an extra 2nd or extra 3rd either. The Raiders are going after Rodgers to reunite with Adams. That's where my money is on the "wheel of Rodgers".
What do you think of Tyjae Spears here? I really like what I've seen from him, but I do worry his break it outside game might not translate well to the NFL. Love his vision though and he's a great receiver. Maybe could be a Theo Riddick type, but with more speed.
