Sounds like half the stadium were Lions fans. I had a lot of things on my social media timelines yesterday. Awesome to see. Hope it continues, but probably won't be as many at Baltimore this week. They actually have passionate fans unlike in Tampa with majority of the residents being transplants.
I could definitely see a large contingent at the rest of the road games. Still hoping to make one yet (other than here in Minnesota).
But I'll be at the Monday night against the Raiders, that's gonna be killer.
A ton of snowbirds in Florida by way of Michigan. Shit. Half my family is around Tampa during the winterish months, but seeing Lions fans in GB was pretty epic. If our homies trek to Baltimore then you know what's up. It'd be huge if honolulu blue broke up that dark purple bullshit
I am starting to think the Lions media coverage is getting a tad too much. Imagine if they win this week...it will go into hyperspace.
I’ve felt that way since before the season. I’m sure that’s just because any time nice things have been said about the Lions in the past, it usually meant a huge letdown was coming.
They’ve definitely earned it so far. And if they win this week, which is going to be a big challenge, it’s definitely gonna be wild. 3 early season road wins against 3 division leaders, with what looks like a soft post bye schedule….
I'm starting to think the Lions can beat anyone in the NFC and actually have a legitimate shot to make it deep into the playoffs. I think this is why we are seeing the hype. It appears to be very real. There are some concerns but we will see as they get into a tougher schedule. This is also why I'm advocating for the Lions to make a deal for RB or corner, this could be the year.

And you still haven't said who you would trade for and what you would give up despite being asked in 3 different threads now.
Why?
Am I the fucking GM of the Lions?
Why the fuck do I need to say who they should get? All I am saying is they need another RB or someone in the secondary. Is that OK to say as a fan? Or do I need to go into some in depth thesis on the topic?
As far as who is out there, that is debatable too. There could be someone a team is willing to move if the price is right. You just can't go with what the media says.

I think the problem is there isn’t anyone out there without trading for them. And since Brad Holmes’s bread and butter seems to be the draft, not sure I would advocate trading a 1st round pick for a rental player. There’s a few guys out there for that but I suspect the teams gonna wait until after week 8 before considering dumping players.
Another reason that the NFL trade deadline needs to move to late November. Imagine the wild trade after week 11 or 12.

Obviously you can do whatever you want. Just seems weird to spend time on a message board like this and post some basic obvious shit without some kind of analysis/ideas on how to address. But that's just me...you do you.

Like you or anyone knows the fucking RB market in the NFL
Any asshat can read a few obvious articles, fans really do not know when it comes to personnel and a teams willingness to make a deal or move a player unless you are a GM and make some calls.
So how can any fan on a message board provide the in depth analysis you so desperately desire?

You’re not completely wrong, we don’t know for sure, but….you going to tell me you’ve never speculated on something going on with the Lions or anything else in the NFL without all information available? Come on.

You're definitely right that we don't know shit (maybe a little less than the media), but isn't discussing this stuff and coming up with our own ideas/suggestions so we can discuss kind of the reason we're all here?
I mean, looking at the current NFL rosters, where the teams stand, specific players' contract situations, etc, it's not hard to speculate who might be available. Doesn't make it fact but it can be an educated guess.
Fellas look, we all read some of these articles right?
I mean why regurgitate the same shit, we don't know...the GM has to make some calls because we don't know who they would be willing to deal and how much Holmes is willing to spend.
Let’s take a look at three free agent running backs that would make sense for Detroit to target.
Free Agent Running Back Target No. 1: Leonard Fournette The best potential free agent signing for the Lions would be Leonard Fournette, aka Lombardi Lenny, who could bring championship experience and capable hands out of the backfield for Jared Goff to rely on. While Montgomery has been used almost solely as a rusher (94 carries to 6 receptions), getting a proven veteran who could fill into Montgomery’s workhorse role or Jahmyr Gibbs’s passing down role could make sense both in the immediate and long-term for the Lions.
Fournette is a big body who can churn out yards between the tackles, but he can also pass protect, and catch. While the explosiveness isn’t what it once was, Fournette was relied upon heavily by Tom Brady as a safety blanket and was clearly trusted by him. Fournette racked up 73 receptions last season, and his passing game skills aren’t going to be found anywhere else in free agency.
Getting a running back who can play both roles and has veteran experience is a best-case scenario for Dan Campbell and Detroit, making Fournette the clear top option in free agency.
Leonard Fournette, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 2023 NFL Playoffs
Free Agent Running Back Target No. 2: Benny Snell Benny Snell spent the preseason with the Lions running backs, but was beat out by Craig Reynolds for the third running back spot on the regular season roster. Getting someone who is familiar with the playbook and schemes and will need very little coaching could be an effective way to handle David Montgomery’s potential absence, and Snell is still young enough (25) to have a lot of juice left in his legs. Pittsburgh’s offensive line didn’t do Snell any favors, as he’s averaged only 3.6 yards per attempt in his career.
Running behind a much improved offensive line, Snell could return some good value and allow the Lions to keep chugging along without having to bring anyone up to speed. If continuity is a factor, Snell is a good option to take some of the work from Gibbs and/or Reynolds but not require a ton of carries the rest of the way.
Free Agent RB Target No. 3: Trade instead The Lions spending any draft capital on more running backs would make the internet explode, but a 7th round pick or a late swap wouldn’t hurt anyone, especially if the running back had some versatility and could help in other areas. Enter Atlanta Falcons running back/kick returner/wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson, who has been out of the regular rotation due to the presence of Bijan Robinson in Atlanta.

I truly don't think the Lions need anybody. At RB, Gibbs and Reynolds will tear shit up! We got so much talent and depth on this team. Trades would not benefit the Lions at all.

add Snell to PS and let's role...
Or even Jermar Jefferson is available.
I just worry about Gibbs' hammy and whether he can stay healthy.
