I think this will be another low scoring game and will come down to a big splash play or two
Ben Johnson will earn his money this week. The Ravens are tough up the middle and the Lions will have to attack the outside this week. The Ravens have some very good safeties and linebackers
The Ravens corners are good but not great. I do not think we will see a lot underneath. St Brown may have to slide outside a little bit. LaPorta will be effective on down and out routes. This might be Jamo’s coming out party. Reynolds will also have to have a good game. Get Gibbs out in the flats and let him work in the open field. I do not think he will be effective up the middle
Defence will stop the run again but this will be a test for the back seven. If I were AG I would use Branch almost as a third linebacker and a spy on Jackson.
Ravens OLine can be beat, I think Hutchison gets back in the sack column with two
Tough game, slow and a bit ugly but the Lions win 24 to 17

Gibbs has monster day against one of the best defenses in the NFL. LaPorta and St Brown are too much for the Ravens. Lions win in blow out.... Gibbs 125 yards rushing 2 TDs

As much as I wasn't worried about the Tampa game, I'm worried about this one. I saw a stat that surprised me - teams coming off a London game without a bye are like 7-0. I'm sure Tucker will win this one on a 70 yarder.
That said, if the Lions win this game I might be all in on this team, which is not something I think I've ever been able to say in my lifetime of 50 years.

It is currently 8-4 with teams playing the next week after London. But just the last 2 years it has been commonplace the teams are playing after the London game to opt for a later bye week and they are 6-1 the next week (I didn't count the Jags win after their first London game this year). It doesn't seem like much of a factor.

I'm sure you will find some excuse to not get on board like "they didn't win by enough", "they won but didn't look good", "Dan Campbell wasted a timeout" Hope on board what is literally the largest bandwagon in history of sports.

Nah, you beat a good team on the road I don't care how you do it.
The return of Brian Branch makes a huge difference.
It does if he's actually healthy. I feel the same way about Gibbs. Not sure either of them are close to 100% and might be limited.
Weren't we just talking about coach-speak and deception tactics? I think deception about player health is the most rampant and easy form of deception because all you have to do is say "we'll wait and see" and instantly opposing coaches are scrambling to decide how they'll play you, and fantasy owners freaking out over whether to start or sit.
As thin as we are at D-back and RB, I don't think you can afford to take up a gameday roster spot on a questionable player unless you're certain he's ready.

not worried at all...think lions have been in a good spot and players are being treated with an abundance of caution...seems like a lot of the younger players...but im sure that's just coincidence
Jones is out for personal matters. only has 35 yards recieving on the year. no loss. expect a lot more looks Williams way. could be a fun game. gibbs go bonkers on the ground and williams lights it up at receiver. WOOOHOOO

Remember on Hard Knocks when MC/DC talked about No Leaf Clover and how whenever they see a light at the end of the tunnel, that's just a freight train coming your way? I woke up this morning thinking the Ravens are that freight train. This game will be a great test.

My gut is leaning towards a tough loss. But I also don’t think it will really be indicative of anything. Just hard to win road games against good teams in the NFL.
Lions already have a couple of those. A win, with the remaining schedule, would be a huge boost towards playoff seeding.

I know I'm starting to sound like a broken record, but this game has me concerned.
The Lions never do well against running QB's. Having Branch play the spy role would have been great if Jacobs wasn't out. I also expect a real slobberknocker of a game. I anticipate some big hits (Walker is a guided missile and Flowers seeks out contact). Let's hope Hutch gets back on the board (hasn't looked quite right since taking that hit on the INT against Atlanta).
Either way, I've got my GRIT shirt on, and we haven't lost since I started wearing it for gamedays. LET'S GOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Yeah, unless they get blown out I don't think a loss will lower my overall expectations for this team, but a win would not only be huge for seeding, but also for confidence level in the playoffs. I expect this game to have a playoff feel.
