Looking forward, it looks to me like Lions are the #3 seed....#2 is possible, but I'm not sure that's the best thing anyway. I can't see any possible way they fall to #4 seed, so all good there.
1.Lions have been playing great on the road, meh at home
2. #2 seed may be playing a super hot team if it's someone who comes in on a winning streak
It's looking to me like we could very well be playing Seahawks in the first round...but a scary part, we may actually pull a hot GB team...I feel like that's how it's setting up
What are you thinking right now?
And I suppose it would be a very Lions like thing to lose the 3 game lead with 6 remaining, but this isn't the same old Lions and DC doesn't let that happen
I mean, dallas is tough, bears looking like they can compete, broncos suddenly not a gimme, 2 against division minny...I mean, it's looking tougher than it did 2 weeks ago

Dallas is the only game the rest of the way they should be underdogs, but yeah given the way the Lions have been playing and the way teams like Denver and Chicago have been playing those games are far from gimmies. Minnesota with Dobbs doesn't scare me at all but I do think they'll probably end up losing one of those 2. I see them losing the Dallas game and probably 2 other games so 11-6. Should still be good enough to win the division and get the 3 seed.
yeah setting up for a real test. this will show how well we are made up to run in the playoffs. weaknesses are showing with the defense again looking like crap in long spells. goff is having his jekyll and hyde moments. The bears pounded the vikings both will be tough games. Dobbs came back down to earth quick. I see us losing to Denver, Dallas definately. we could lose to the bears and vikes as well. and the saints wont be pushovers. this could get ugly fast. our easiest schedule in the second half suddenly isnt so easy.
FYI, it looks to me like GB is going to run the table... Giants Bucs Panthers Vikings Bears
So they hit the #6 seed with a 8 game winning streak...
Who's the #3 seed? Oh, right...
So I am just interested in winning the division at this point. The other chips where they land.
If GB runs the table, the Lions HAVE to win 2 of the 3 division games left on their schedule. Basically the Denver and Dallas game are meaningless for the division. Without winning two of the three they could lose out on the division. But that changes of course if GB stumbles anywhere on the way. But the way they have been playing, I assume they win out.
Frankly, with all the injuries I am not convinced the Lions win this weekend.

I would like to see a playoff win too....get the experience of playing a SF or Philly team in the playoffs....I think losing a home playoff game would be a dissappointment...the only bigger disappointment would be losing a 3 game lead in the division with 5 to go
Old me says that the Lions could blow this thing. A home playoff game is something I want.
But I don't see this team being any team from the past that is going to string together a bunch of losses at the end, they just seem to come out pissed whenever they do lose. They have enough talent to beat at least 4 of the 5 games left on the schedule.

I was able to get some of the best seats in the house for like 300 bucks a piece.
I'll just bring extra hand warmer packs. Might even be open seats in the United Club. Love it when the Bears have losing seasons and gloomy forecasts (which is often). I figured the Lions fans would have gobbled those tickets up. That really says something about how crappy it is to watch Bears games. They can't even draw playoff-bound fans from a state that practically borders it.

there's going to be a ton of Lions fans there on Sunday. Not sure if you got tickets on the Bears side or not, but the Lions fans tend to get more on the visitor's side.
Also, only a sucker buys resale before the day of.

The Lions will not win this weekend. It's looking like potentially bad/cold weather in Chicago. Recipe for disaster for Goff and his baby hands.
Blaming, dude, you nailed it. The cold weather thing and Goff with those gloves is something to consider moving forward. Cali boy never played football in the snow much and it shows. Blow warm air, glove up when you're not throwing then take it off. Many other options. Check your Diva at the door.
Not to be Devil's Advocate here, but Dallas doesn't scare me as much as Seattle or GB. Inherently, we rise up to play the better teams. I can see the guys fired up for Dallas, especially if it's primetime, like KC in week 1. We all know the attention this Lions team gets and the support they receive throughout the NFL, so the Dallas game is a serious statement game. We ALSO need revenge on Seattle, but those scramblers give us fits. GB might win out, but if we lose the division in a worst case scenario (which probably won't happen) -> but still make the playoffs, I'd rather us play on the road to be honest. The underdogs going into Philly or Dallas or SF somewhere, rather then hosting a Seattle or GB or Tampa at home and laying an egg. Something about Ford Field, idk man. This team is a killing machine on the road in decent weather.
That said THIS THREAD IS ACTUALLY CALLED PLAYOFF WATCH! When the F could we have said that before. By this time every damn year, we're already scouting for what we think we need and what college players we should DRAFT. UG! Hey boys, mofos, this year is the real deal. Some kinks to work out and no I'm not talking about Rusty's mom, but pass rush, CJ Gardner if he comes back along with James Houston will make me feel a little better about this defense. I keep saying it but Ragnow is one of the most valuable players on offense. Without him, it's always a struggle.
But playoffs man! A first round loss would wreck another TV for sure, but hey man, just making it to the dance is way better than watching from the outside looking in as mofos dance with your women. We are in the dance, a ticket to the big show and if some fat chick knocks us down, some cheesehead seahawk mammoth bitch from hell, then we deserve what we get. To lose again to Seattle is not acceptable idgaf what needs to be done. We should sign Suh just for that very reason, to rip Geno Smith's head off.
Playoffs...it's like we been driving around a fugged up Ford Focus for decades and finally get our hands on a new Caddy. So whatever happens, hopefully it's not Goff in cold weather.
Minny is rotating QBs now. quick fall from the pedastal eh? LOL.Pack got beat but they stil llook good. NY just had the better QB that night and at this point Goff is not better than Love so hope GB loses some more and misses the playoffs. .would rather face Minny. that said, we might win 1 game in playoffs but thats it. SF, Dallas, or Philly will blow us out.
Broncos are not only in the playoff hunt, they are in the hunt for the division, although a little harder given KC only has 1 division loss to the broncos 2.
They are going to be a hungry team, and with GB losing last night, and 2 against the vikes with 2 games remaining against them, including the last game of the season, I suspect lions lose this one
Ragnow is out but I see Goff coming back at home in favorable conditions. This is a just win after tanking in Chicago. This is the kind of game that shows what this team is made of. They beat a hungry Broncos team and it's a huge win. Like mammoth
