Have to wonder why he still played in the last 4 games of the season? Technically they were still in the playoff hunt after the Rams game but the loss to the Bills killed any chance. Unless he was cleared by doctors that he couldn't further injure his situation and playing was up to him, I don't get it.
but then again, it says he broke bones in his back, but the only bones you have in your "back" are ribs and your spinal cord so not sure exactly what to believe here.
Just hope it is behind him and he is fully healed for next season.

Did you watch either game they won in December? I think a high school team could have beaten Arizona and GB at the time the Lions played them. And I will never blame players for giving effort to show they can be worth something in future seasons. NFL is not kind if you have no more to use to your team. There is no guaranteed contracts like the NHL and NBA (both leagues famous for tanking for prospects). The only way a team can tank in the NFL is by making up some injury so a guy can't play. Because I think with the limited amount of games played, the cost of a ticket to attend a live game, the amount of money involved in TV deals, you will never see a team get all guys to openly tank a game without some shenanigans going on in the periphery.
Openly tank a game? He had broken bones in his back, that isn't some fucking phantom injury. Not kind to a guy who has already been made the highest paid player in the NFL? LOL, preach on.

Since you must know....what bones did he "break" in his back?
What if I told you that there is no such thing as a bone "break" in the medical field?
What if I told you other than you ribs and spinal cord...there is no bones in your back? And i would think if you "break" one of those, I am guessing you might not be able to play professional football.
Jumping to conclusions on a flippant report by an old man doesn't convince me of anything.
I would like to know, what exactly was "broke" and how did affect his ability and when did he and/or the team know about it.
Until that is know...this is nothing more than he had a stubbed toe.

The bones being referenced are obviously vertebrae. If you told me there is no such thing as a bone "break" in the medical field, I'd say you have never looked up the medical definition of "fracture". Again... vertebrae. Definition of vertebrae: "each of the series of small bones forming the backbone, having several projections for articulation and muscle attachment, and a hole through which the spinal cord passes." Willful ignorance leaves you without knowledge. Again... fucking vertebrae. You'll never get an honest answer to when they knew. Your lack of medical terminology removes the medical field as a possible profession. Your opinion (stubbed toe) of this medical condition is on par with your knowledge.
I asked God for a bike, but God doesn't work that way. So I stole a bike, and asked God for forgiveness.

Really, he broke his vertebrae? Where did you see this to be true? Just guessing on your part I assume.
And you just proved my point, there are no "breaks", there are fractures. Nice going to dictionary.com for you definitions. thanks, really helpful.
Believing anything you read to be true seems like you are knowledge-less and then making a conclusion that he fractured his vertebrae. Just shameful.
And I laugh at you thinking you know anything about me.
Now if you can provide me anything that I said that was actually incorrect, I will withdraw my statements.
The flat bones include the scapula (wingbone), the ribs, and the sternum (breastbone). Irregular bones: Irregular bones are irregular in size and shape and are usually quite compact. They include the bones in the vertebral column, the carpal bones in the hands, tarsal bones in the feet, and the patella (kneecap).
