If the Lions can maintain their offense for an entire game, then they have a chance. The Lions defense is going to give up points to a high powered offense, so they would theoretically need to just outscore them (duh). But they are vulnerable in their run defense, I'd say just let Monty and Gibbs do their thing. Don't become one dimensional if they get down.
Dallas and Detroit are both still in contention for better seeding (albeit much more likely for the Lions than the Cowboys).
actually most of cowboys home wins were against iffy teams so their home record isnt that great. washington, NYG, Jets, Pats, Rams when they were sucking. seahawks and eagles were the only 2 good teams they beat at cowoys stadium. So they are very beatable. just need to keep cowboys offense off the field. cowboys favored but i think we pull the upset.

I think this game is a good measuring stick for how far the Lions can go
Cowgirls have been great at home but have not really beat any good teams so far. If this game was in Detroit I think the Lions win, not so sure since it’s in Dallas
If they manage to beat the Cowgirls I think they have a path to the Division title. Phili has looked beatable, Lions can beat Seattle at home, Rams are a little scary

Only chance to win this game is to approach it like the week 18 game last year against Green Bay - no holds barred don't give a shit attitude. No punts past your own 40...gadget plays...no FGs unless 4th & long.

so you think they are more talented and better coached?

Overall (offense & defense) I think Dallas is more talented, but not better coached. Plus there's the home field thing.

got ya... I actually think lions are more complete on O, but their D is WAY better....but we do have better coaches...
This really is an intriguing match up and it weird, I'm not sure it means anything if the lions do lose
Lions offense actually plays to Dallas' weakness on defense - running the ball. I just don't see the Detroit D stopping Dallas at home especially after 2 bad losses. They will probably need to score at least 45 to win.

I grew up and kinda live in 9er country and I keep saying lions, strangely, matchup amazing with 9ers, strength on strength....this match up is the opposite, its strength on weakness for both teams...interesting

If they lose and Eagles win Sunday, they will be the 3rd seed no matter what happens in week 18. And it would just mean resting any injured players in week 18 vs going all in in week 18 to get the number 2 seed if they beat the Cowboys.

I meant in a more philosophical and future projection sense than a direct results sense....if that makes sense?
This feels like an exhale game for us and a statement game for the cowboys. But if we find a way to run the ball and stay efficient in offense, we definitely have a shot

I almost added that to my comment. I think it just means the Lions will have positive or negative outside noise. I don't think a loss affects the team going forward.
