well in my opinion Wright wants to leave or he wouldnt have signed with the 49ers. So let him go and find someone else.
you don't know that...lions could have said go find out what you're worth and we will match...he isn't a 100mil contract guy fighting over 2 mil so I have no issue with him trying to set up his financial future...good for him either way

Yeah, I say match it if it's only $3M. Solid blocker and every few games seems to come up with some huge drive-extending catch.
I think it is more likely that they expect DPJ to take Reynolds snaps.
so you think they keep williams at ~30 snaps and have dpj taking 75-80%? Not sure I agree with that...
I meant more that Williams will be our WR1, and would absorb the targets that Raymond got last year (so seeing his 45 tgts from last year and Raymonds 40ish), while DPJ would get the 60ish targets that Reynolds saw last year. I should've added more explanation.

Think they’ll still need a WR to split with DPJ and at least for depth. DPJ a couple years ago could be a 1 for 1 replacement for Reynolds, but a pretty big leap of faith to expect that going into this season. Wouldn’t be surprised to see them draft one on first 2 days.
That's all they can do. If they don't match, he's gone and we get zero compensation
Okay so it has to be the same exact offer? If the guaranteed money is about half I'm good with it but honestly you can probably find similar talent with more upside in the draft.

Correct. The only choice they have is to match the exact offer or let him leave

Possibly. Not end of the world loss, but you know what you have and they value him. Better to not have to look. Question is how the feel about a guy like Mitchell stepping into that role too.
