Would surprise me, but not shock me. I think BJ is licking his chops at the idea of adding a freak like Bowers to use as another chess piece.
I don’t doubt it, just think Bowers falling a little bit is probably to 12-16 range and not sure he’d give up that kind of draft capital it would cost to get there from 29.
Then again, did it for Jamo, without giving up as much as I thought that would cost. So maybe I’ll say 95% shock me.
I would like to see the Lions trade up to the Saints pick at 14 (give up our 2025 1st round pick) and select Quinyon Mitchell, Toledo. Mitchell would provide us with a #1 CB and solidify our secondary for the next 3 years. In the second round take Xavier Leggette or Devontez Walker. These selections provide at least 2 new and improved starters over last year.

Would take a lot more than just a first rounder the following year to move up 15 spots in the first round. Would probably have to give up this year's 2nd as well, and maybe more. Also, highly doubt Leggette is there at the end of the 2nd.

I was thinking same thing, but in the Jamo trade they only gave up a 3rd and swapped from an early 2nd to late.
Of course every draft is different, but Holmes has worked some decent deals before.
I feel they will trade down a few spots to someone who wants that 5th year option...for a minute I thought they might trade up, but that CB room is pretty packed (with mediocrity, imo), so not sure they are eyeing a CB this year and not sure anything else is worth moving up for

Maybe it is just me, but since the Lions do not have a high pick, I have found my interest in the draft this year to be lukewarm. I had planned on going to the D and be in the action but I am just not gonna make the trip and just enjoy it from the couch. I haven't done a single mock draft on one of those sites when I would have been about a 1,000 by now.
Maybe this is what good team's fans think about the draft. It's crazy!

Yeah, it's not having a high pick and actually having a good team. My Steelers/Ravens fans friends were always baffled by how into the draft I've always been. I always told them the draft is the Super Bowl to fans of perpetually shitty teams. It was all we had.
