Sewell is probably the most important and valuable player on the team. Not to mention he's the LT of the future. When was the last time the Lions had multiple players up for extensions in one offseason and actually worth it? Now do McNeill and be done.
Year Age Cap Hit Cap % Dead Cap 2024 24 $8,167,649 3.20% $46,707,649
2025 25 $9,540,000 3.49% $38,540,000
2026 26 $28,000,000 9.58% $29,000,000
2027 27 $32,000,000 10.23% $21,000,000
POTENTIAL OUT: 2028, 4 YR, $86,986,000; $13,000,000 DEAD CAP
2028 28 $34,000,000 10.16% $13,000,000
2029 29 $27,000,000 7.54% $5,000,000
Pretty similar to ARSB structurally, not sure if they Cap% is based on this year or the projected increase each year.
I’d guess projected the ‘28 hit is higher and a lower % than ‘27. I know OTC usually does projections. Good news is the actual number has beat most projections the last few years.
