Speaking of training camp and injuries...what's everyone's guess for reader? Can't help but think he gets a slow start...maybe until the bye?
I’m not huge on this signing. I’m not into football as much as I use to be when I was younger and had more free time but being a big guy and having a lingering injury just seems like a recipe for the opposite of success. I’d be happy to be wrong but I feel like this will be a move we look back on as “could have been great but didn’t work out. “

see, I think it may be under-rated...the lack of pass rush and subsequent high completion percent was largely driven by no interior push...the qbs could step up every time...him and McNeil should be awesome to get push up the middle, which should help the entire D

Yeah wouldn’t surprise me if they PUP him to start season. I saw him say he was unsure about week 1, but I’d assume he’d be on optimistic side. Lions tend to be more cautious with bringing guys back from injuries it seems.
That really sucks about Cominsky. Things were looking up for him and he had talent. Maybe this is a wake up call for James Houston. I hope so. We need to see how good Houston can actually be

Have to admit, never loved the Reader signing. At the time I assumed they thought he would be ready for the start of the season but it seems that is not the case. A 335 lb 30 year old with a quad tear...oopha. $12M cap hit next year (or $5M if they cut him, which is the likely scenario).

I just realized the other day while watching a 2023 season recap that the player that Craig Reynolds smoked on his classic block on the Sun God's TD against TB was none other than Carlton Davis. LOL!

Lot of fights at joint practices at today. A little surprised since Campbell has made comments in the past, about how he doesn’t like it. It does sound like Giants came with an edge, saw some Giants beat guys talk about how it felt like Lions bullied them last year.
Arnold may have a concussion. Zeitler went out with a shoulder, too. Hopefully nothing too serious.
Point practices always seem to have some conflicting reports about who was more successful. One thing that seemed consistent, Giants couldn’t cover Jamo.
1. I think coach was right when he said it's going to be twice as hard this year...being a front runner will bring out the best in most opponents...I think the giants aggression is a sign of that
2. I wouldn't be surprised if coach let it go a little bit more than normal to use as a teaching or motivation tactic...see 1.
While it sound like both teams got their licks in, if lions are truly a front runner, I expect them to dominate with more control tomorrow....
so is it the players choice of workouts that is causing this or trainer issue. had same thing with another player last year. or just freak injury.
ACL last year could be traced back to previous one, if you want to make that argument. There is a higher chance of tearing your other ACL after first injury.

Sounds like another day of fighting. Disappointing as Lions seem to like using the joint practices as more of a controlled preseason, which makes a lot of sense. When it goes like this, though.

todays fight was started ny the giants WR giving a cheap shot to lions DB.
Sure, but Kerby needs to have the discipline to not go throwing punches after because in a game they’re both tossed. Nevermind the stupidity of throwing punches at a guy wearing a helmet.
How do you tear a pec if you're not chopping wood? How is that possible? Cam and Rusty's boy E Man were fool's gold. This kid Maurice Norris? #39 is getting praise. Fuck it. Put him in for torn pec boy
