God I hate the packers.
This week's trip to Lambeau feels like the toughest game on our schedule. Our biggest division rival playing good football regardless of the starting QB. Jacobs has added a dimension to their running game that they have been lacking while Aaron Jones was dinged up before he left for Minny. If we can't generate pressure from our front 4, Love will pick apart our much improved secondary. Goff has been playing at an All Pro level this season, but this will be his first outdoor game of the year, and his career indoor/outdoor splits are not pretty. Surprisingly, GB's defense hasn't been as strong as I would've expected given how many high draft picks they've used on that side of the ball over the past several years. Of course, playing in Lambeau means you don't just have to face the pack. The team in stripes always give them extra homefield advantage calls.
Hoping we can wear them down with the power running game and some nice long clock-eating drives. Would love to see us force Love into some turnovers, but the pressure will need to come from the inside. I see this one being a nail biter, coming down to the final possession. Can we get another Quay Walker boneheaded penalty to help us seal a victory? I'm not making any predictions, but I don't feel great about this one.

Don’t feel great about this one. Outdoors, supposed to rain. Both of those things don’t play great for Goff. No Paschal again, worries me with Packers run game. Titans had some success attacking the edges in the run game last week and Lafleur is always great at exposing weaknesses.
Have to run the ball well, control the clock and win the turnover battle. Love is playing good ball, but he’s had a turnover in every game. Have to take advantage of that.
"Just reiterating how exciting this is, you know, to be able to play these type of games. These big time games, environment, division game on the road at a place that's, you know, it's, it's one of those things that God created. You know, it's where football began, a little bit those type of things.' Campbell said. "We're looking forward to this. We'll be in the elements, which is great. This is like one of those, you hope for this, you know. I think we'll be in all white, so we'll have the grass stains and everything rolling, man, it's going to be good old football the way it's meant to be played. So excited. Great opponent, but our guys are fired up, man..."
"Lions head coach Dan Campbell said Friday that defensive end Josh Paschal (illness) and linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez (ankle) will be out of the Week 9 contest, which could play a heavy factor in the NFC North title race.
Running back/special teams ace Sione Vaki (knee) and defensive tackle Mekhi Wingo (ankle) were listed as doubtful on the team's final injury report."
The defensive unit continues to be plagued with injuries. We do get Broderick Martin back this week, which will help fill some of the void left by Paschal/Wingo, but the level of injuries on our D across the front 7 is getting ridiculous.

Martin is out. They haven’t activated him off IR yet.
Wingo has been playing pretty well, not sure it gets much thinner on the edge.

This would be a huge game to shut up the "Goff can't play well in bad outdoor weather" crowd to have him go out and have another great game. This could be the toughest game of the season if the Lions do get down early. Although LaFleur does often let up when in the lead and lets team get back in to games.
I think this will come down to who has the best offense, and right now that is the Lions. I see a high scorer, both teams in the 30s. I'll say Lions 34-31

Based on the weather forecast, I'd be surprised if there's that much scoring. Windy and raining all day is going to make for sloppy playing conditions. This is likely to turn into an old school, NFC Central black & blue slobberknocker. I'd feel better about this kinda game if our D was healthier, but we definitely have the offense for it!

Definitely don't feel good about this one. Not even sure why the Lions are favored. Hopefully Love's mobility will be limited.
Goff has been on fire. It's to the point now where even just the law of averages will be playing against him (on top of the conditions). If Goff has an impactful game here it's definitely time to start talking MVP.
Lions aren't going 16-1 so they have to lose at some point.

I think the Lions are the better team - should be favored on a neutral site. But being in Lambeau, and the weather forecast...I think that makes GB a slight favorite.
For what it's worth, the opening line prior to last week's game when Love got hurt had GB favored by 1.5. That's about where it should be.

I think it has to do with our Running Game to be honest. 100% chance of rain at game time
