A guy that can crossover like Dane talked about would be ideal though. Glasgow is gonna be 32 and Frank may not be retiring this year, but who knows how much longer he’ll stick around.
Yeah, I feel like Frank the Tank is a bit of a ticking timebomb. Even if he doesn't retire, can we count on him to play 17+ games? We all know what a warrior he is but at some point it will take its toll. And from everything I've heard the toe thing will never go away.
See, it looked to me to be mental mistakes, we appeared to be out of position a lot to me. However, I suppose it could be physical, but i would expect that to improve with a full off-season to train again ...but it was probably a little bit of both to be honest.

I thought he looked ok coming downhill, it was the change of direction. He made a few plays early in the year, big hit in Bucs game, think he had one in first GB game too. He looked rough when he had to turn and run. Just didn’t seem to have any of the range he had his first couple years.
Could be mental mistakes, secondary had plenty of them this season. Could be mental in just not trusting his ability to plant and change directions after injury, too.
He had over 100 tackles twice in his career and was a bright spot on some bad Lions defenses. His pass defenses was a little shaky at times but he was there for you when you needed someone to play the run. He stepped in and played well this year when we had some injuries. Good dude, he will be picked up by someone.

Torn achilles versus NFL athletes is pretty much undefeated. Very few if any have come back from it and been able to play at the same level as prior to the injury.
Allen Park — The Detroit Lions announced the addition of three defensive coaches on Wednesday.
Terrell Williams will oversee the defensive line while also serving as the team's run game coordinator, Deshea Townsend will be the new defensive backs coach and pass game coordinator, and former Northwestern defensive coordinator Jim O'Neil will work as a defensive assistant on coordinator Aaron Glenn's staff.
The Lions officially named Terrell Williams as their new defensive line coach. The Williams and Townsend hires had previously been reported. Williams previously has established relationships with both general manager Brad Holmes and coach Dan Campbell. Williams served as Holmes position coach at North Carolina A&T and overlapped with Campbell on the Miami Dolphins coaching staff in 2015.
Williams had been with the Tennessee Titans since 2018, routinely leading one of the league's best run defenses during that time, while coaching high-caliber talent such as Jurrell Casey, Jeffery Simmons and Harold Landry.
As for Townsend, the longtime Pittsburgh Steelers defensive back, went into coaching shortly after his retirement in 2010. He started with the Arizona Cardinals and also has had stints with the Titans, Giants, Bears, and most recently, the Jaguars.
O'Neil returns to the NFL after a two-year stretch at Northwestern. He also previously served as a coordinator for the Cleveland Browns (2014-15) and San Francisco 49ers (2016). He worked with the Raiders defensive backs prior to taking the job at Northwestern.
With the additions, the Lions also parted ways with several assistant coaches. Defensive line coach John Scott Jr., cornerbacks coach Dre Bly, safeties coach Brian Duker, senior assistants John Fox and Jim Hostler and defensive quality-control coach Wayne Blair won't be back with the team in 2024.
Duker, the longest-tenured member from that group, took a job with the Dolphins as the team's secondary coach and pass game coordinator. Blair had been with the team for two seasons, while Scott, Fox, Hostler and Bly, the former Lions cornerback, joined the staff last offseason.
The injury hurt Walker. He was a different player before getting hurt. Aggressive as hell until the Achilles. That sucks. I think it was Joseph who said Tracy helped him a lot his rookie year.
Draft ->Kool Aid McKinstry. Keep the Tide connection going.
Hope they can sign a long term kicker as that Alabama kicker could be as a great KOS and one for extra points and field goals. Allow Jack Fox to focus on punting.
JRM is a solid rotational guy and special teams player.
2nd team All Pro special teams player. Way more than solid. He also filled in very well at LB late in the season when called upon due to depth issues related to injuries.
the Bears have been horrible drafting QBs as of late. the fact they would consider drafting Williams is a huge red flag for me as far as considering Williams. i will be glad to see Fields go elsewhere even though i thought he was a bad QB. but he killed us with his legs and that threat will be gone. Fields likely going to Atlanta.
