Atlanta kind of fukked the Lions with the Cousins deal.
Eh, when I saw the big jump in cap this year I figured you’d be starting around $50 mill for Goff.
I don't like that they gave him 4 years, although I don't know the exact terms and if there is an easy out earlier. I was hoping Goff would be a 3 year deal like Baker got. The Cousins deal kills that. Goff is 6 years younger.

Think I saw it’s basically a 2 year deal for Cousins, but not positive.
Not sure what Goff wants. He may want long term security, or he may want to hit the market again in his early 30’s.
Seeing comments on there that it's a good get...seeing bucs forums where they're saying he's made of glass and gives up big plays a lot...so the lions do have a type...
davnport was a first rounder when drafted. maybe we can coach him up to have a good season. like the davis trade. he will likely be backup so wont be around long. got 2 later picks in return and holmes has done well with late picks.
Probably a better value than Hunter. Definitely a Holmes type of move. Although I don't get his obsession with injured players.
I was mostly joking.
Not sure it will be better value though. Go look at the snaps each of them have played over the years. Davenport has some talent and hopefully they can catch lightning in a bottle with him, but he’s just rarely healthy enough to be on the field consistently.

I like these moves. Essentially getting starting capable players to replaces guys who shouldn't have seen more than special teams play. At the very least these are depth guys.
Although Davis is probably due for a contract upgrade to loosen that cap hit this year, not sure if they can announce that until the trade is official at the league start.

Yeah no way they gave up a 3rd rounder without knowing they'll have him locked up for more than 1 year.
