Wasn't that Rusty when he was hosting the site on his server?
I don't know if it was intentional or technical issue.
Apology accepted
Classic. And there it is. A counterpoint might be if he was such a bust, they wouldn't have gotten so much for him. But the verdict is in finally. One pro bowl and no playoff wins...so it appears piggy was a bust. Thanks for the memories now turn your head and goff

Point and counterpoint made. Yet, the veil will be yanked this year and we will all have our answer as to the Rams success or failure. I for one say let the chips fall where they may- if wrong, blog deserves ridicule, If right blog deserves...
I've been laughing at how people thought Stafford was the second coming of Jesus when in fact he beat only ONE team with a winning record this year. LOL

Rusty, you are a dummy!
Switch Goff with Stafford and LA would virtually have the same record, they didn’t gain anything with Stafford, and they mortgaged their future… we knew it was going to be a disaster. he is what we thought he was when I first started this thread. No means No. maybe he’s good at Hakki sack, hopefully the rest of the league learns her lesson. Never overlook masochism as an explanation of why people think this guy is great.

The Rams paid Stafford to win this year. Now they are cap fucked for years to come. Lions still have a shit load of dead money because of Stafford. Stafford is a team killer.
Since entering the NFL in 2009, Matthew Stafford is 8-67 (.106) against teams that finished the season with a winning record. So far this year the only team the Rams beat with a winning record was Tampa Bay. Give it up guys!
I always felt membership on this board was split 50/50 on the Stafford implosion to superbowl ratio. If they only reach to playoffs and no superbowl...epic fail what they gave up to get him.

have you watched the talent of the Lions receivers? Have you watched the talent of the LA receiving corps? have you watched what/ success Goff had with LA? Have you watched The failures Stafford had with Detroit?
fast forward to this year, and put Stafford with the worst receiving corps in the NFL history?
But Stafford is not worth what LA gave up to get for him and the implosion factor is pretty high
A lot of folks here think Tech and Blog are full of shit, but math does not lie

yeah yeah the Lions suck we get it and that has contibuted to that awful stat, but we are already seeing the real Stafford self implode
how many of those games did Stafford get the 4th quarter lead only to have the defnse give it right back, using records like that is very deceiving when rating a QB

there is a difference between not having weapons and just plain playing bad QB , Goff is not accurate, recievers are not getting YAC yards because he is not hitting them in stride

Surroundings can impact accuracy. Don't get me wrong, Goff is a step down from Stafford (admittedly maybe more than I thought he'd be), but let's face it, this WR corps is potentially the worst in the modern era of the NFL. I mean, in the offseason we thought it would be the worst on paper and that was when Tyrell Williams, Cephus and Perriman were slated to be the starters. We all know how that went. Then there is the fact that they have not (and will not the rest of the year) have all 5 starters on the OL playing in the same game). Drew Brees (the most accurate passer of all time) wouldn't look accurate with this group.

Brees would be fine with these guys, Goff is just plain not accurate

I have way less issue with Goff’s accuracy than I do with his horrid pocket presence and his just all around scared demeanor. He just looks scared to throw the ball.
This is not about Goff's accuracy! He is a serviceable QB that can win games with talent around him. Because of this brilliant trade the Lions will finally have the resources to bring talent to this team with extra salary cap money, two first-round picks, and a third-round pick. Lions have a future while the Rams are FUCKED for a very long time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look at Tech all optimistic and shit! Unfortunately I'm not as optimistic as you on the future of the Lions. I know it's way too early to evaluate the new regime, but nothing they've done so far has shown me things will change so until that happens I'll expect the continued futility.

Also, the Lions have to pay Jared Goff 40+ million dollars over the next 2 seasons(1 of which he likely won’t even be here for). Not sure where the cap relief portion is coming from.
Also the Lions haven’t really had cap issues for a while.

They always seem to be one of the top teams in dead cap money though and that's not good. Things start to look a lot better in 2023 - they can cut Goff loose and save $25M. The Goff restructure really hurts but my understanding is they kind of had no choice thanks to the previous regime.
