Lions need to do their homework on Carter but a bad pro day isn't enough for me to forget about Carter's game tape he has game wrecking ability and the Lions biggest need is a interior defensive presence.

I see both sides of the argument but his stats surpassed Jordan Davis. It'd be a tough pass. He's what 22? Not sure if MCDC will chalk it up to a learning thing or not but if he's one of those rookies that never shakes up and is like the opposite in terms of work ethic than Hutchinson then it'd be a bad pick BUT what if the boys rub off on him. He probably was that stud who never pushed himself 100 and has all the talent...what if the boys motivate him, the coaches work with him. I think the FO will know if he'd be that type of project worth taking on or not. I will trust Lions management but this is a damn diamond in the rough if they feel he's worth the risk. It is what it is. Put up or shut up time.

With all the FA db's they have signed Lions "Should" focus on DL and LB with their early picks. Then I could see them picking a couple of OL pieces and a developmental QB.. maybe another RB. Swift looks to be a player in the rearview mirror. Too many injuries.

Yep. 💯. Jalen Carter then a CB or LB in the late first. CB, RB or LB in the second. Good call

They invested in Anzalone and clearly like Rodriguez, there’s probably 60-70% of your defensive snaps. Then they were giving Barnes increased reps, I’d be a little surprised if LB is picked on first 2 days.
Carter seems like a real risk at this point.
Could throw everyone through a loop and go Skoronski, but I doubt it.
My guess it’s Gonzalez or Wilson, maybe Anderson if someone falls in love with Wilson. Outside shot of Witherspoon, he is the perfect Lions CB, but weird he’s done no testing and size may worry them. Though Sutton is around same size. Feels more like an option in a trade back.
bijon robinson will be the pick at 6. best back since Barry
Agreed. Brad Holmes always tries to pick the best talent regardless of position. Bijan Robinson is blue chip Pro bowl caliber. I predict 2023 Offensive ROY. If he gets to pick 6, he will be the best talent available.

Most of the Mock drafts have Bijan Robinson going in the mid to late 20's picks. RB is not valued as much as in the past. Saquon Barkley was the last top 5 RB pick. Thats a few years ago. He is probably still there at 18... After signing Montgomery I seriously doubt the Lions would draft Robinson in the first round. Draft seems to be real heavy on Dline and QB's in the first round.
After a little thinking..Safety may still be in play for the draft...perhaps Lions signed CJGJ to play slot? Thats where he played for Glenn in NO....just a thought...

That's viable...but I also think they are open to pretty much any position outside of OT, Kicker & Punter in the first round.
Bijan over Michael Mayer for sure. TE is a wasted pick. Jalen Carter would be interesting with this coaching staff. If he flourished with the boys it'd be epic. Aaron Donald 2.0

Ok you football E=MC2 geniuses. Maybe I'm wrong about Jalen and that can happen from time to time. Rare I know but I really didn't watch him in college ...like at all. But this dude calijah kancey seems pretty dope AND you little fudruckers need to understand that his stats are way better than Jalen DUI. Yes it is draft time research for dummies and this klancey dude is my new find, this straight up OG ...in other words no Nick Fairleys here Felix and Nick Fairley wasn't bad next to Suh ...but this kancey dude had 34.5 tackles FOR LOSSES in 3 years compared to Jalens 16. As long as we get one of these two studs I'm good and if anyone brings up TE or WR in the first again...I will find you.
Kancey at 18 would be interesting. There are also a LOT of CB's in this draft. CB's run deep. LB's are not so deep I don't think. We need a stud LB. It's that simple. We need a Stud DT or D line guy and a STUD CB. Anything after that I'm ok with. (except a TE before round 4) Nolan Smith ran a 4.38. Read that again. He's a D lineman for Georgia. a damn 4.38 Dude
