Of course my opinion is just that, an opinion and it may be completely wrong. I just cant help but think after what he experienced in his last 2 years in LA, plus what the Lions have done to resurrect his career that he will be all about maximizing a deal. First off, I think Lions let him walk if he wants too much and I also cant see him saying oh yeah, watch what I do with the Redsk, errr Commanders...or watch me turn around this Texans team like I did the Lions...I don't know, I just think he knows he has a good thing going here and will try not to F it up....that said, perhaps he shits the bed and 2021 Goff comes back and forces the Lions hand....but assuming similar numbers as last year, I think he takes a fair (to both sides) deal, which will still be too much to the fans....
Bears made their big move. Good move by them. I’d guess there will be another shake up or 2 in the top 10 coming.
Amazing return on that trade setting them up for years to come.
Puts more pressure on the QB market so it could benefit the Lions, I have to imagine 3 QBs go in the top 5 now ensuring the Lions get one of the top 3 defensive players.

assumong 2 DEs are included in that statement, I dont see it. Carter, CB or trade down

I think the next chip to fall will be someone trading into Arizona's spot at #3. Knowing 1 & 2 will be QB picks, and that Indy needs a QB at 4, anyone that wants their pick of the remaining QB batch will need to get in front of Indy. Strong potential that the first 4 picks could be QB.

Sure is looking like 4 QBs will be taken in the top 5 now. So the question becomes do you take Carter at 6 if he's there? Sensing a bit of Nick Fairley there.
Bryce Young and Jamo connection could be big. It would motivate both players but Bryce won't be there. The litmus test was last year. The team gelled. Anything short of the playoffs is a losing season imo. 50m for Lamar is insane. Good QB but no way. I like Goff and Ben Johnson. They know each other and will only get better. No damn QB in the first or second this year unless it's a miracle pick. Some are saying Jalen Carter might drop. If so that's the pick. Cases closed

I understand feeling set with a DE group of Hutchinson and Pascal starting, Houston rotating in for pass rush and either Harris or an Okwara rounding out the rotation but I would argue pass rushers are the most valuable players on a defense and you can always use more elite talent there.
That being said Carter would be my preference, however in the off chance that Will Anderson is on a board instead it would be hard to say no to possibly the best defensive player in the draft, even Wilson I could see the value in, CB while more of a need I don't the talent / value matching up at #6. Trading down is easier said than done but if Carter were gone I would take a trade down as my second preference.
jets, carolina, arizona, seattle, and more all need a top QB. someone is gonna drop in our lap.teams considering paying aaron rodgers ridiculous money are idiots. let the prima dona bitch stay in GB or retire
I didn't know Jalen Carter was street racing and a woman was killed. Judge gave him a year probation and community service. 1k fine. This is concerning. He fled the scene some say though I never seen the official report. His stock is tanking. He either learns and grows up or he is toxic as F. Either way. Tough call. Can MCDC/Holmes make a man out of him? They are probably asking themselves that. The question is,..if he drops further down into the first round do we take him with our second pick in the first round? Somebody will likely take a chance on him before that and he will probably become one of the best DTs in history....or do we roll the dice

From a football standpoint, his pro day is more concerning than the street racing. Nick Fairley 2.0. I don't think I take him in the first round at all.

No idea why his agent and people around him let him do that pro day. Could have easily used the court date the next day as an excuse and say you’ll do his own workout later. Just a lot of bad decisions surrounding him.
I do not like Carter at the Lion's pick 6. He is a lot of media hype with college production that screams 2nd round. He is immature and carrying baggage for the alcohol related racing incident that got his teammate killed. He comes in overweight and non-focused to a workout that will define where he is picked in the draft, and completely not ready. Not my idea of a top ten pick.
