Tough dilemma. Want a top 5 pick, but wins are important in building the team, too. Got the road win monkey off their back and 2 in a row.
I definitely found myself hoping the Bears would kick the game winning FG. Such a sad existence being a Lions fan. I guess it at least says something where in year's past I wouldn't have this attitude because my thinking would be they wouldn't be drafting a QB and would probably just blow the pick anyway. At least now I feel like with one more good draft that includes a franchise QB there is hope.

There’s young talent in place, they’re just missing the QB and a few more pieces. It does feel like they’re building something, just need patience.
The last two plays of the game. 2 sacks. I havent yelled like that in years. Holy shit that was sweet to see. Reminded of the silver rush days
That last play had me doing my best Sanford & Son, Redd Foxx "This is the big one, I'm coming Elizabeth". I think my heart stopped at least 3 times on that play.
Me too, but I don't mind seeing them win this year. They're going nowhere.
I get it, but a good Monday is a Lions win and a GB loss. It will still be a good Monday.
Yeah I get that too. I think the older I get the less I give a shit about the rivalry stuff. At this point I feel like this upcoming draft might be the most important draft in Lions history. By the way the Rams have the same record as the Lions.

Not sure what the problem with Goff was that fans might be complaining about. He was 73.1% passing and a 113.6 rating. Could just be they see a guy who ran for a shit ton of yards, passed like crap, and still lost the game to a bad defense and they think "I wanted that" and could have had that guy.
Defense gives up 30 points to an offense that runs a college scheme and has 2 plays in their playbook.
Fans complain about the QB.
Nothing new in Lions land.
It’s possible for both things to be an issue.
I don’t think Goff played horrible, but it was another game that showed his clear limitations. He was terrible in the 3rd quarter and even on the drive they scored the TD to cut it to 24-17, he threw a horrible interception and got bailed out by a penalty.
To be fair to both of them, both Goff and the defense stepped up in the 4th quarter to close it out.
Down 14 late in the game. Way to come back in the road.
Stats like that are kind of arbitrary. In 2011 the Lions were down 27-3 in the middle of the third quarter against Dallas but were only down 13 by the time the 4th quarter started. They ended up winning 34-30.

Not sure what's in the Minnesota water, but our records could easily be reversed and it'd make sense. Good win. I really don't want another win this year unless it's against the ViQueens. That's all I want for Christmas, a shellacking of the purple bastards.
